Jody’s always always always exceeds expectations on every cake and other baked goods I’ve ordered. I’ve been getting birthday cakes from here for over 30 years for friends and family. Most of my own birthday cakes have come from Jody’s as well. They’re my favorite! Always fresh and delicious, reasonable pricing and excellent customer service. Their sandwiches and casseroles are delicious too! Hands down the best local bakery in Hattiesburg.

The lady that was at the register need’s customer service training because she was not friendly at all. The cupcake I bought was dry and nasty and it had a weird after taste. I’ll rather eat Walmart cupcakes because this the second time I done ate y’all cupcake and it was nasty!!

Service there was not good. Several people came in after us and were served before us. When I asked about getting help, I was told to go back to the counter and wait for someone to help me, and then 2 other people who had come in after us were still helped first. Very disappointing experience. At least the cashier was understanding when we checked out.

Absolutely the best bakery in MS!!! Polite, professional and kind staff and the baked goods are as good as anything I’ve eat in France!!! First time there but certainly not our last time. (We tried all of the cookies and have to go back for the cakes!!)

Jody helped us with a last minute order. We live in Europe and it’s our son’s first birthday without us (university student). She helped us with a specially decorated cake, cinnamon rolls, cookies and other treats. She was able to get it to him the next day-on his birthday. Everything was great and she was very kind and helpful.

I am originally from a town close to Hattiesburg and for years we got cake from Jody’s. We now live in Foley, Al and my son had to make a day trip to Hattiesburg, I called and ordered the wedding cake squares and petit fours,I asked for them to be fresh as they would be eaten over a course of several days. I was so disappointed in my first bite of one of the cake squares, cake was so DRY, icing has a different taste then it was in the past and there was so MUCH icing it would have iced a sheet cake! After spending $100 I feel like crying! This place is definitely NOT what it use to be, it’s sad because it is such an iconic place in the Hattiesburg area.

Not the same as it’s always been. My family has bought cakes from Jody’s for years. We moved to Tennessee a year ago. We’re celebrating my 55th birthday in Nashville with family and friends. My daughter pre ordered a cake, picked it up Friday and drove it to Nashville for the celebration. The cake was not good at all. Nothing like the many Jody’s cakes we’ve enjoyed over the years. They also brought cookies and petit fours and those were also very average. The cake was obviously “not fresh”. Very disappointed after years of enjoyment.

I placed an order for a crawfish cake for my moms bday. An they did not disappoint. The cake was the absolute best. Every single person at the party raved how great it was and how moist and fresh the cake part was. It was hands down the best cake I’ve ordered in the past 10 yrs. I give them 5 stars for sure. Everything was pleasant from placing the order in the phone and paying ahead an picking it up. We will definitely be back year after year.. Thank yall so much for having a great place to come to.
