The crepes ( Belgian pancakes) are some of the best I’ve had! As good if not better than what I had in Belgium or France. Truly delish!! Excellent place for breakfast, all of our meals were awesome. Waffle, skillets, poached eggs… all perfection.

As Riverside is now barren of Coco’s, we were lucky to find this great place. It has the best gravy I have found in my adult quest. The bacon was THICK. The eggs looked a beautiful color.

First time here and just have to mention: as of 8/26/2017, the sign outside the restaurant says Joanna’s cafe, but rest assured, it is the same “Lori’s cafe” that you see in the reviews on both Google maps and yelp. The name has been changed, but hasn’t been updated in here yet.

I don’t like leaving such low star reviews, but sometimes you just cannot leave out the details.

Amazing food at incredible prices. I had the chorizo with eggs, and it was absolutely heaven. It felt like I was eating at my favorite aunt’s house. Beans taste fresh and homemade. Chorizo was cooked perfectly, not too greasy. Tortillas are warmed up on the spot. It totally beat my expectations. This will be my new brunch spot. Excellent service overall. ‍

Went to Joanna’s Cafe after seeing they had a lot of breakfast options, and everything looked tasty. As soon as you walk in, you’re told to pick a seat. It’s a small restaurant, maybe 15 tables. It’s very very simple. The menu is large, and gives great descriptions like “topped with warm buttery syrup”, or “tasty and authentic”. Unfortunately, that is a lie. The syrup comes in servings of about 2 tablespoons in a plastic throw away cup. The authentic and tasty, is also a lie. The steak had no taste, at all. The biscuits in gravy looked great, but literally tasted like nothing. It wasn’t bad, there just was no taste. The hash browns had no seasoning, the Chilaquiles had no flavor, and was soggy. The only thing that had any flavor was the bacon. French toast was cold upon arrival, over easy eggs were brought out over hard. There was 2 younger women and an older man and woman. Older man and woman, who weren’t our servers were really polite, and checked on us. The 2 younger women were rude, didn’t smile once, or even greet us. She walked up to our table and said “you ready to order”. After asking for our check as they were speeding by our table 3 tables we finally just walked up in the desk they use for a register, and she didn’t say a word. She put the bill on the counter and pointed at the table. If the food was great, or even okay the service probably wouldn’t have matter, but you can literally get food with more flavor at Jack in the Box. Don’t waste your money here. They don’t understand the concept of spices, flavor, or even how to properly cook eggs.

Chili Verde omelet. The meat tasted like it was canned. I couldn’t tell if it was pork, chicken, or what or was supposed to be. and the sauce wasn’t great either. Seemed more like tex-mex.

First time here, was looking for a mom and pop breakfast place. We arrived at around 12 and even though the place was busy, we got seated right away. Good service, good food. Parking lot was very busy, but there is an empty lot across the street were people were parking. I would definitely return
