Needed a sushi fix and Jo Sushi To Go hit the spot. Good value and delicious sushi. Tried the 36 piece Roll platter and it did not disappoint. California Roll 8pcs, Spicy Salmon Roll 8pcs, Dynamite Roll 10 pcs, Red Dragon Roll 10pcs for $42+tax (10% cash discount). The dynamite and red dragon rolls were massive. We’ll be back for more, as this was a solid place. Gave 4 stars for atmosphere because this is only a to go place. No inside seating and street parking might be difficult to find. That being said, I’ll be back for more delicious takeout sushi. Highly recommend you try it out!

One of the worst poke bowls I’ve ever gotten. You can’t initially tell from the photos, but they are are very stingy with the toppings. They hide this by piling a massive lump of lettuce on top of the rice to make the bowl appear fuller (when it is 90% rice + lettuce). Go to In a Bowl and get yourself a much better poke bowl with fresher ingredients and better portions.

This is a take-out only location. We tried it out for the first time tonight and the food was sooo good!! We ordered our usual green dragon roll and sweet potato tempura rolls, and they did not disappoint. We also tried the Crispy chicken roll and Korean BBQ rolls, and they were absolutely delicious! Everything tasted very fresh and flavourful, this will be our new sushi spot! Staff are also very friendly, was greeted by everyone with warmth and kindness. So glad we tried this place out!

First time here and it won’t be the last! What a great sushi to go place in Oakville! So glad I explored out of my town. The ordering system was quick and easy to use! My order was ready for the time I specified in my order. I was happy to see a family run business and everybody working there was kind and happy!!

I had heard a lot about Jo Sushi To Go in Oakville and decided to finally give it a try, especially because I was told they have vegetarian sushi options. As someone who doesn’t eat fish, I was excited to see what they had to offer.
When I arrived, I noticed a couple of people working behind the counter preparing sushi. The place was clean and well-kept. However, it’s more of a takeout spot than a dine-in restaurant. There’s only one small table outside, so it’s not really a place to sit and enjoy your meal.
They did have a few vegetarian options, which I appreciated. I was a little confused about what to order, so I asked for a recommendation. The lady behind the counter just said “everything is good,” which wasn’t very helpful. I ended up ordering the Veggie Dragon Roll, which was one of the listed vegetarian rolls. The description said it had cucumber, but when I got the roll, I couldn’t see or taste any cucumber in it. That was disappointing and made me question the accuracy of the ingredients list.
The roll came with wasabi, ginger, and soy sauce on the side. The sushi itself was just okay. The taste was on the sweeter side, which I didn’t enjoy. I also noticed a strong taste of nori (seaweed), which I’m personally not a big fan of. I’ve had vegetarian sushi at other places that tasted much better, so I was honestly let down by this one. I finished the five pieces I ordered, but I didn’t enjoy them.
The ingredients seemed fresh, but the overall flavor wasn’t great. On top of that, the atmosphere didn’t feel very welcoming. The staff were busy talking and laughing among themselves, and it felt like customers weren’t their main focus. It just seemed like they were doing their own thing and not really paying attention.
Overall, my experience at Jo Sushi To Go was not great. The sushi was average at best, the service wasn’t very friendly, and I probably won’t go back. There are definitely better vegetarian sushi options elsewhere.

Jo Sushi To Go is a hidden gem for sushi lovers! The quality of the fish is excellent—always fresh and flavorful. Their rolls are well-balanced, not overloaded with rice, and the ingredients taste high quality. The portion sizes are great for the price, making it a fantastic value.
The staff is friendly and efficient, and the service is quick, perfect for a grab-and-go sushi spot. Even when ordering ahead, they have everything ready on time. Highly recommend their signature rolls and sashimi if you’re looking for a quick but delicious sushi fix. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to!

Best sushi in the GTA, hands down. The food is always incredibly fresh and delicious, but what really makes this place special are the owners. They are the sweetest people ever and always greet you with so much warmth. You genuinely feel welcome every time you walk in.
