Stopped in Jo Jo’s south today for a cheese pizza. I order mine extra crispy (well done). To my surprise, I didn’t get the “Deer in the Headlight” look when I asked for it that way. Some places don’t understand what I want. I like my cheese to have a slight tan-ish color and the crust to have a slight crunch. That’s the way I had it up north in CT. I didn’t have to order it that way up there, it just came that way. Anyway it came out perfect. If you go to Jo Jo’s south and want a cheese pizza, ask for it that way. You won’t be disappointed. Sorry, my pic is just one slice.

I understand that canned mushrooms are cheaper, but they must also understand that canned mushrooms release water when pizza is cooking, which probably explains my super soggy Supreme pizza. Also, pizza too salty and canoli tasted like was fried in old oil.

This was our first visit to any location of Jo Jo’s and we will definitely be back. Great service, down to the patience with my teenager who was on her phone! We all three got the pizza special and all of it was delicious. Clean space, spacious with plenty of seating. Thank you!

I had been waiting for this location to open up for a while! When I went to VCU my internship ordered from the downtown location and it was heaven. I ordered a large (16”) pizza half Buffalo chicken and half bbq chicken (and added Italian sausage) well done and the pizza was as good as I remember. I ordered to go and the flavors were amazing and I ate everything down to the crust. The calamari almost didn’t make it home and my bf loved that they do all rings. The interior of the restaurant was spacious, clean, and inviting and looked like it could accommodate both small and large parties. The gentleman who took our order that day was patient and helpful and showed us the variations in size with the pie pans. I’ll definitely be returning!

Had a taste for some pizza and saw the great reviews. I tried a small supreme pizza. It came out hot and fresh. The center of the pizza was a little soft, but the outer edges were nice and crispy. Really good flavor on the meat and sauce. It was a nice change of pace from the other chain restaurants. Looking forward to going back for another visit.

After a friend recommended the place, we thought we’d give it a try. Boy were we glad we did!!! We got the Grandma’s pizza, meat lovers pizza, and chicken wings (delicious wine as well). We were extremely impressed with everything we ordered! The three of us can not wait to go back and eat there again!!! So glad we found a new great place to eat!

We were on our way to a picnic. We called and ordered a cheese pizza to go. The owner answered the phone. He told us the pizza would be ready in 15 mins. We showed up 15 mins. later and it was ready. He was very nice and we felt welcome. They have another pizza place in downtown Richmond. I’ve had it since 2005. SO GOOD! It’s been amazing pizza ever since. We’ll definitely visit again!
