JLB Eatery was a great place for lunch. This was my first time going. I just happened to be out in the area near the dealership when I was hungry for a burger. I can say by far this was the best restaurant in the Tomball area for burgers & fries. I recommend this place for good eating in the Tomball area. Menu is attached

I’ve heard nothing but great things about JLB, and finally tried it. Ordered the Buffalo Bacon Chicken Sandwich with onion rings. Wow! Absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to go back and try more menu items. The restaurant was clean and service was wonderful!

Food is great BUT DO NOT GET SWEET POTATO FRIES. I ordered takeout & called to possibly get a refund and let them know that it’s burnt, soggy and inedible and the lady was like that’s just how they are. I paid almost an extra $3 for sweet potato fries. Had I known they look like this, I would not have ordered it.

first time in…3 stars cus i didnt wait long but nobody was ahead of me.
i ordered a fish n chips combo but the girl only rang up a 2pc fish and didnt ask me what i wanted as far as options just looked at me like i was supposed to know everything, i didnt have the energy or patience to make a fuss cus i. on lunch break and i told myself i probably didnt need to spend more and eat more so i took it as a sign from the universe…yhe drink size is small, the fish fillets are a good size but taste is sub par, the fries are good, the toasted bread slice was soggy, and i got 3 overcooked onions rings and 1 tiny hush puppy, and no condiments.
i will give this place 1 more chance cus the burgers have good reviews, but from what im eating right now im led to believe those 5 star people just have low standards.
BUT, like i said, ill let some time pass and try again to see what the burgers are like.

This place is pretty good. My girlfriend is insanely picky with burgers and this is the only (no exaggeration) spot that has been consistently tasty to her. “It taste like the mom and pop burger place by the house I grew up in.”
Their large fries are a whole to-go box full for barely more expensive than a large at Jack In The Box, but with good seasoning salt.
Staff has been fantastic every time. Doesn’t say more than is needed to take the order, but clarifies and double-checks whether we want cheese and things like that.

The food was quite good — not necessarily extraordinary, but definitely a step above many other places in terms of quality. The prices are reasonable for what you get, especially considering the burgers are generously sized and very filling.
The service could have been a little better, but it wasn’t poor enough to be a real issue. As for the atmosphere, there wasn’t much to note — it was quiet when my family and I visited, which some might appreciate, though it lacked any distinct character.

We had the patty melt combo and an order of chicken strips. Both fantastic and super fresh! Portions are generous, we couldn’t finish our food and were happy to take the remainder home for tomorrow!
The cashier was very courteous and friendly and gave good feedback to outlr questions. We can’t wait to return to try more menu items.

I kept it simple: a regular burger with bacon and cheese, yellow mustard only, no mayo, plus French fries. I started with the fries first and immediately thought, oh my God… these fries are really good. Crispy, hot, and clearly fresh.
Then I got to the car and ate the burger—and yeah, it sealed the deal. Solid, fresh, well-made. It honestly reminded me of how I used to drive all the way to the south side just to get a burger from Champs, but this? This is closer, fresher, and just as satisfying.
Customer service was on point. I was greeted, never rushed, and they gave me time to decide since it was my first visit. That matters.
Bottom line: I will be back again and again and again.
If you want a fresh, no-frills burger that actually delivers—JLB Eatery is it.

I ordered food from the JLB website for my family . It just arrived and it’s missing a combo. We called JLB and they pretty much gave us the cold shoulder. Saying that they were sure that they packed the complete order and that sometimes the washers steal food. I ordered from JLB website not doordash. Its clear by the picture that the dasher took that he broke the stapled bag open and just rolled the bag up. I feel cheated. No help from the restaurant.

As much as my family and I love JLB, I don’t know if we can justify the price any longer. For one crazy burger combo and three kids cheeseburgers (one of which wasn’t even a combo), our total was $65. We were appalled. We understand price increases because of inflation, but this is excessive imo. Price aside, if you’re looking for a great burger with large portions, JLB is a great option.
