Wow wow wow. I can’t express enough how phenomenal this restaurant is. My husband and I just visited for our honeymoon and the experience from top to bottom was incredible. The host was so warm and inviting, the atmosphere was quiet and great music was playing in the background, our server Emily was a sweetheart and let us take our time with our meal. For starters the bread was the best bread we have ever had, ever had Smokey bread? We haven’t until tonight and it was the best bread we have ever tasted. The Caesar salad was great. Our steak entrees were everything. And the apple cobbler blew us away. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Thank you JK for giving us an unforgettable dining experience!!!

For our group of four our night meant for remembrance and quiet celebration became nothing more than a disappointing and distressing experience. This was the last place my daughter ate with her father before my husband passed, and the experience was shockingly bad and unacceptable. My daughter ordered the very expensive steak that came out practically raw — still “mooing” — it was supposed to be medium and when we asked for it to be fixed, I was shocked that the server brought it back to the table in even worse condition. It was blacked and burnt to a crisp it felt less like a mistake and more like an intentional disregard for our request. For a restaurant charging premium prices, the lack of care in both the kitchen and the service was astonishing. What should have been a meaningful final meal became a memory defined by careless cooking and is now remembered for all the wrong reasons. I expected far better. She left hungry. Instead of enjoying the evening we had planned, we ended up scrambling to find somewhere suitable for her to eat, and the whole night was ultimately ruined. I reached out privately in hopes of resolving this quietly, but I never received a reply, which made the experience feel even more dismissive. After a night that should have meant so much more, we will not be returning.

Delicious everything! We are honeymooning in Nags Head, we are 5 days married, and this was our 1st big date night out. Enjoyed it all! We shared the wedge salad, vege soup, the Maytag salad, 20oz rib eye, and creme brulee.

All I have to say is WOW!! we had 2 appetizers, a veal rack, a filet, and a rib eye absolutely amazing. My family enjoyed everything. The steak was seared to perfection, and the lobster bites were served with a tangy sauce. And our waiter was just fabulous. Knowledgeable and very prompt. This is definitely a 5-star

A great option for turf! After eating seafood for most of the week, this place was readily welcomed. And they didn’t disappoint. The veal & lamb were some of the best we’ve had. Even out of small beach towns. Well prepared and fresh.
We had shots and drinks as well, atmosphere was positive and lively even on a Monday night.
Would not recommend the espresso martinis, much too sweet and from what we could tell, didn’t contain espresso.. but other than that small detail, dinner was delicious. Margaritas were made well, we stuck with those.
Asparagus and green beans as sides were perfect. Southern style. Very tasty. Don’t skip those.
Quail and hen for appetizers.

We’ve been going to JK’s since 2013 when visiting the Outer Banks. It is one of THE best steakhouses in NC. John is superb and he always makes us feel right at home when we are there! The staff is friendly and excellent as well. The steaks are exquisite and prepared perfectly. The flame grilled prime rib on Fridays is unique and worth making a special trip to try. Their sides are perfect “southern” compliments to the steak.

Wonderful restaurant in Kill Devil Hills! Our server, Shana, was great! We tried multiple appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Everything came out perfect. The seafood bisque was my favorite (we also ordered the wedge and Caesar salads). All of our steaks were cooked to the correct temperature and were very flavorful. Each dessert was delicious as well. Can’t go wrong with that you order here!
Each entree was anywhere between mid twenties to high seventies in price. Worth every penny!
