The atmosphere wasn’t exactly cup of tea. The food was not really appetizing. Its more of a family reunion vibe than a restaurant style. Doesn’t mean the place is not good I just didnt enjoy it.

I just loved this spot. Me and my husband came here for date night on a Saturday about 6pm. Wasn’t sure what to expect. There weren’t many people in there but the music was great. We got seated and looked at the menu. There were so many options so I asked the waitress for suggestions. She gave me a few and mentioned the specials for the night which was lamb chops and pasta. I was sold. My husband got the tropical nachos. I ordered a monster size Huckleberry margarita and it was HUGE. It was delicious and so was our food. Between the food, drinks and music, I was in paradise. This will be our occasional place for date night. Looking forward to trying my next dish.

I promise if you are looking for great food, great drinks and an excellent friendly vibe…this is the place to be! The owner makes sure everyone is satisfied. The vibe he brings is different than ANY Mexican restaurant. The lamb chops are A MUST!!!!

Nice atmosphere, delicious cocktails. Fried Shrimp tacos and the egg roll (southwestern style) where so good with the dipping sauce. Our waitress was awesome!

1st visit: Server misheard my order, but not a big issue despite not offering to fix it. Food, salsa & chips were good. Atmosphere was great. Tip is automatically added to total.
2nd visit: Order came fast and server was very attentive. Check didn’t match the menu’s price, but the food & atmosphere was great! Not entire change was given back.

If I could do zero stars I would! Literally brought food out cold and sauce-less. Asked the waitress for extra sauce (trying to not be problematic) & the sauce never made it to the table. After 30-45 mins the waitress came back and asked if the sauce ever made it to the table. We replied no. She proceeds to go and get it. At this point the food is no longer worth eating. Manager PATTY!! said she would give a discount for the food. Literally $1.86. Uneaten food! & expect me to pay 70 dollars for this.

Nice vibes for sure and nice people that work here as well, that’s the best part for me. Didn’t get a pic of my pickle juice margarita , but I’m definitely going back for it again. I would’ve given the food 5 stars, but it was without much seasoning, I still gave it 4 stars because I’m sure I could have been accommodated upon request. Oh and for the dad’s, there also was a baby changer in the men’s restroom that was very clean to boot. for the win guys.

Had a great experience at JJ’s Tropical on Germantown Pkwy! Food and service was excellent. I ordered a salmon rice bowl which was yummy. We ordered a jalapeño margarita and a blackberry margarita ! Very good drinks for a decent price.
They serve more than Latin themed cuisine including menu items like wings and catfish.

Update: The second time was cool too! A weekend night was definitely different there than a weekday. You can tell that this is going to be one of the spots that the friends of the service industry are going to frequent and it’s all good! I had the Mexican pizza which was bigger than I expected and I’ve tried plenty of margarita flavors. The service was great, shout-out to Jose and “Jos-sway”.
