If you’re looking for comfort food and pizza, you’ve found your place. I stopped in for the first time, going in mostly blind and the experience was fantastic. Our waiter was incredibly polite, attentive and had good humor. I had ordered the wet burrito with their pink lemonade, I highly recommend it! I’ll be back after 4pm to try their dinner menu next

Ew I just had the worst experience here. I walked in at 4pm on a Saturday to pick up a take out order I had placed 30 mins earlier. I asked for a glass of water while I paid/waited. I then told the bartender that I had changed my mind and wanted to eat half my pizza before I departed for home. She rolled her eyes at me and said “you can sit wherever you want”…so I paid for the pizza, took my water and found myself a seat. Two seconds after I sat down I was surrounded by a “manager” and someone who was behind him. He spoke to me like a child who was in trouble (I’m a 40 year old woman) and told me I was not able to eat my to go food in house. He said “it’s law that we cannot allow you to have a takeout container at the booth” which is the most ridiculous lie I have ever heard. I told him that I had ordered takeout, already paid for it and just wished to have a bite before I had to hit the road. He scoffed at me, looked around at his other employees (sitting around with little business) and said “it’s absolutely against the law for you to have takeout here while dining in”…he had multiple people surrounding my table like I had committed a felony. I’ve been told multiple times this place is toxic but this was so gross. He looked down at my Starbucks latte I had and told me “it was illegal to bring outside beverages inside”…I couldn’t believe this BS. I work in the local restaurant industry and know for a fact he’s making up laws and it was so weird because I am a paying customer who was causing no issues and just wanted to have a bite of my pizza. Stay away from this establishment!

This is one of my favorite places in Alpena. They consistently have good food and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is also very cozy, the lighting isn’t super bright and they have booths and tables. The servers are always friendly and on top of their game!!! Also they have some of the best fries in the area!

After a subpar experience at another restaurant, we went here close to closing and explained out situation, they had our meal cooked and ready in less than ten minutes. Everyone was understanding and helpful, and they really salvaged the evening for us. The food was great and the atmosphere was fun. The people were the best, friendly, accommodating, and willing to help. Great place highly recommend.

All of us loved our choices. Spaghetti, Chicken Alfredo, BLT & Fries, Cod dinner, Caesar salad, French Dip, Ragoon Rolls & Onion Rings. Phenomenal ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The owner/manager (Im assumming) came by and asked us how things were just as my nephew was saying he felt fat like Santa because he ate so much. LOL
When we went to pay our bill, our server told us it had been paid by Santa. Our entire meal. 2 appetizers 5 meals 3 sodas!
We assume it was the nice owner/manager. Either way it was a very awesome & generous surprise. Only to be topped by hearing other customers having the same experience around us. Santa paid for everyone’s bill/tabs!
Whoever you are THANK YOU. You brought me to tears. What a kind thing to do.
We will pay it forward.

Looking for a nice place by Alpena give JJ’s a try. They were busy on a Monday night so be prepared to have a little wait but the food is worth the wait. I had whitefish with homemade tartar sauce, my wife said walleye was great, The spaghetti with meatballs was huge and my daughter said the cheeseburger and fries was outstanding. Server was very nice and took care of us. Some pretty cool decor inside as well including the giant alligator behind the bar!

My son and I stopped for dinner while in town and we had ribeye steaks. They were both cooked to temp and well seasoned. Service was attentive considering it was dinner rush. We’d go again next time in town.
