JJ’s is our go to spot for appetizers. They have an amazing deal from 2-5pm half off appetizers. My husband and I always go here, but last night we took my parents for the first time and they were impressed. The food were outstanding, restaurant is clean.
Only reason I took 2 stars from service because of the following reasons:
-We were not all given a menu and we all had to share.
-We were not given enough utensils after we asked a few times.
-We were never asked for drinks refills
Overall, we were still pretty happy and will keep coming back!

The owners of Mt. Vernon’s very own El Rancherito have brought us another hometown treasure in their new gem of a bar and grill in the best place to eat in town with their JJs sports bar! They totally remodeled our old Bob Evans and have made it better than it ever was. You can tell they took their time on their new interior decorations and spared no expense with all their tvs available to watch every sport playing daily. And they evern have a massive wall screen for the main event of the day, so it will be a great place to watch all the final match ups like the superbowl and the world series! Their food is always hot and delicious, and their atmosphere is always fun and energetic! If your family hasn’t made it their new go to weekend spot than y’all are missing out on real yummy food and a good time!

I feel like the only thing that is missing is a good endless house roll like at the Texas roadhouse! Then they’d be real competition to make us never leave Mt. Vernon again! Bring us some good endless house rolls to crave JJs! You all can do it better than anyone if you try to bake us up some real good ones! Please!!

The girls that work here are amazing. We had a large party the same night as homecoming and they did a tremendous job of taking care of us. I had some wings and the sauce on the mango habanero was pretty good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food, even the kids.

Heard good things about this place. Tried it out, had grilled shrimp tacos and wife had a burger. Holy cow was this place the real deal. Service is friendly and prompt, food is on point. Coming back for brunch. So came back for brunch, again, again, and AGAIN. Good golly do these beautiful people know how to make you smile. Been here sooo many times, never disappointed. The MVP is what a breakfast/brunch burrito dreams of being. The rib eye tacos are like crack, the birria tacos are amazing. Trash can nachos are a meal and only an appetizer if there’s 4 or more people, delicious. JJ’s burrito is probably one of the best steak burritos I’ve ever had. People this place is going to make you smile, get here and try it.

My breakfast burger was cooked to absolute perfection – juicy, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. Everyone in my family loved their meals as well; everything came out hot and delicious. The side of fresh fruit was generous, beautifully presented, and a nice healthy touch. Our waitress was fantastic – attentive, friendly, and on top of everything.
The restaurant itself has a great sports-bar vibe with plenty of TVs, so it’s perfect for catching the game.
My only complaints are minor aesthetic issues (almost every plate we were served was chipped or cracked – it’s time for some new dishware; it really detracts from an otherwise excellent experience) and one very serious problem: after I filled out a comment card and left my email address, I immediately started receiving a flood of obvious phishing and scam emails. I have never had this happen before, and I’ve already marked well over 50 of them as spam in the weeks since my visit. I’m certain my email was sold or leaked because of that card. It’s been an enormous hassle and has left a terrible taste in my mouth – no pun intended.
I truly hope management looks into how customer information is handled, because the food and service are genuinely outstanding. I’d love to come back once I can trust that my contact info will stay private and the plates get replaced!

We stopped here on the way to Nashville. I had the BBQ chicken flatbread pizza. It was okay. There was barely a drizzle of BBQ sauce, so it was dry. My husband had a fried chicken sandwich, which he enjoyed. Service was not great, as once we got our food we didn’t see our server again, until she brought our bill. She did seem to give other tables a lot attention.

Solid sports bar food. Better than most chain places. Don’t let the ya picture fool you. There was exactly one craft brew. It wax from an area place and was quite good. Service was good and helpful with recommendations.

My wife and I ate here for a date. For a bar, the food was really good. I had the breakfast burger with a side bowl of mixed fruit, huddle poppers, and deep-fried avocado. My wife had the Swiss mushroom burger with fresh chips. We tried the mimosa sampler, I had the blue Kamakazi, and my wife had the pineapple jalapeño margarita.
