Been here a few times and the food was good. Great for a lunch spot. Last visit, butter was in my daughter’s water glass. (Picture is after she rubbed it with her straw trying to figure out what it was.) The dirty glass wasn’t the issue. Things like that happen. It was the waitress ignoring us. Literally looked at us and walked to the drink station and pulled her phone out. We waited another 15 minutes, thinking she was going to make my daughter another water after she checked her phone. I understand taking a quick peek to make sure kids, parents, ect are alright but she never came back. We went to the counter, canceled our food order and left. Used our entire lunch hour to not get to eat.

This was our second time coming, the prices and food are good. I got the grilled sirloin and my partner got the all you can eat chicken. Once he wanted his second round and refills it was hard to get someone back over to our table w/ three servers and not too busy of restaurant. The service was mid and could use some improving, maybe the servers were having a bad day. Would have definitely give it 4/5 stars if the service was better.

Well my experience was horrible! First time and last’ o ordered and sat in line 20 minutes because man in front of me decided not to order at speakerphone and I did. So my food was ready but I had to wait behind him in drive thru. (Someone pulled in behind me and no other way out )Once we get to the window the lady said I wish you’ll could have came in instead of telling him to come in and give us our fresh food. I just ate it because I’ve had a long day and didn’t feel up to taking it back. Never again! Ohhh not to mention the hair on my kids meal!!!

Delicious comfort food. Friendly service. Sweet Tea was refreshing , all food was tasty and well seasoned. For dessert had a scrumptious banana pudding.

Was not very crowded and there were only two servers.
Ordered the porkchop dinner ….DISASTER! LESS than a 1/2″ thick and no bigger than the container my ranch dressing came in for the pickles! It was also cooked to death, so more like chewing on shoe leather.
The brocoli and rice casserole was so salty it would almost pucker your lips. The turnip greens were decent, but the corn bread must have been left over from lunch.
The fried pickles for appetizer were the best part of the whole meal.
First time eating here and will most likely NOT be back. I think I will go back to NEIGHBORS RESTAURANT that is just around the corner basically.

I got the half-pound burger with cheese and with a side of fried okra, and it was really good. The okra was big compared to what I’m used to. The burger was also very big. I also got some gumbo, and I’ve never had sausage and shrimp together in gumbo, but it tasted good. Overall, this is a good place to eat.

The fried green tomatoes are the best I’ve ever had and the sauce that comes with them is amazing! My husband ordered the chicken liver dinner and I had the chopped steak and everything was great!

Don’t eat here!!! It was horrible tonight! No crab claws, no shrimp to grill (does this mean fried shrimp is frozen?) you could order fried shrimp, no salad, but they found one that was so old no one would eat it. The only edible thing on my plate was the onion rings. I also ate the packaged crackers that came with the very old salad. Last time I was here it was wonderful and the severs were attentive and so nice. Not tonight. All they wanted to do was go home. I asked as we paid for crappy food if they were out of so much food why didn’t they close for the night. The girl that checked us out said I said the same thing. You want great food and service??? Go to Judy’s Place. Fabulous food and service!!!!!

What a great find! Great lunch specials. I had the fried flounder & got three nice sized pieces with fries in addition to two other sides. They accommodated my request to only use cornmeal on the fish since I can’t have the flour mixed with it. Green beans were like my grandmother’s & the cheese grits had the right consistency. Wish they had a bigger parking lot as I was able to get last one at 11:15am. Service was excellent & attentive even though they were busy. Great family atmosphere.

I tried this place for lunch one day since it it close to our office. I walked in expecting to be seated for service and saw a counter to place my order. This turned out to be a togo counter. The sign to be seated for dining in was behind me. That part was confusing but I was not bothered, now I know for next time. I had a seat and waited about 20 minutes for my togo order. While there I spoke to a very nice server that told me they had only been open a few weeks and were still working out the kinks. She said all food was cooked to order and it was a family ran business. I like supporting restaurants like these and will go to one over a large chain anytime. When I opened my plate, the amount of shrimp on my po-boy surprised me. It was full of shrimp and the bread was really soft. A lot of times po-boy bread can be tough or hard and that makes it a mess to eat. The shrimp were lightly battered as I like. This sandwich was perfect. The fries were crispy and seasoned right. The food was plentiful and was at a great price. I will be back to try some other things soon. Only draw back was the parking. When a place is busy and everyone has a truck it is difficult to get in and out. After they work out the kinks and i try them a few more times I hope to increase my rating to a 5 star.
