Only giving four stars instead of five due to food shortage. The food and atmosphere were great! I went in with my husband to get a steak & fries, but they were out of fried foods and ribeye. After ordering his breakfast food and a cheeseburger and salad, the waitress came over to state how no one had prepped any hamburger patties for their shift so it would be a bit of a wait. Even though it was about a ten minute wait, I still got our food and a cherry pie, plus 10% discount for truckers. We paid just over $23 for a big cheeseburger, half a to-go tray of salad, fruit and cottage cheese, a cherry pie, his pancakes (2 that filled up the tray) and eggs. It was three trays and a small one for the pie for under $24, so even though they didn’t have what I came for initially, it was still worth the wait. The staff was low manned (only one waitress & one hostess), but still did a great job of keeping us informed and the chef did great with our food. Large parking lot for truckers ($10 for overnight stay), yes there are potholes but luckily not trenches as my husband calls them. This place doesn’t look like a big city restaurant, but it’s still a good atmosphere and great staff who are very kind. Will definitely stop by again.

This is an old school dining facility. They serve home style meals. The portions are substantial and the prices are reasonable. The food was very delicious, the service was very good and you can’t beat the price for the amount of food I ate. This is off the beaten path, so you kind of have to look for it. I hope you will visit this place. I recommend it for the value.

Pork chops were dry on the inside and reheated, i could tell that they had been cooked twice. Online says Buffett until 8pm i got there at 4:30 there was no Buffett. They gave me some old mash potatoes with a country style whit gravy on-top, the salad was withered like it was old and the cherry tomatoes were bitter and soggy, the only thing that was good and fresh was the fried okra. Im not going mention the parking lot with sink holes full of water everywhere. I don’t recommend this place unless you can drive no further.

Service was good. Girl was quick and attentive. Place was empty but she was keeping busy with other things. The food, not great. Didn’t taste bad but the hash browns were just completely crunchy. Not edible. Omelet seemed a little under done. Found a big black cooked chunk in there and didn’t know what it was. About 30 minutes after leaving my stomach wasn’t feeling right and I was having the gag reflex like I was going to vomit. It’s getting worse. Probably will throw up soon.
The restaurant itself: older. Been a long time since any remodeling. Looks dark on the outside. Really couldn’t tell if the place was open or not. The server was sweeping and cleaning between serving customers so from the customers area it was clean enough.
Supposedly the place got bought out and the new owners are in talks with the city to rebuild new stuff on the property. I likely won’t stop here again.

The food has gone totally downhill with new ownership and management. They went from a 6 page menu to 1 double sided page. One waitress at 5pm at a large truckstop just doesn’t make it. Food is either overcooked or undercooked. Most of the time they are out of menu items. Totally shows a lack in planning. I’ve been eating there for more than 14 years and I’m totally ashamed of the management. Get your act together.

We were on a long trip and stopped here to eat. We ordered breakfast items (eggs, pancakes and omelette). Other people came in after us and ordered dinner items and received their food and finished eating it and we still didn’t have our food. We finally called our server over and asked about our order. At this point we had been there 40 minutes. She said she would go check. We said if it was going to be more than five minutes to go ahead and cancel the order. She was gone almost five minutes and then came back and said it would be five to ten more minutes. We told her to just cancel the order because we couldn’t wait anymore. I don’t know if she forgot to put the order in or if the kitchen didn’t see it but 45 minutes for breakfast food is way too long. There were only four other customers. Also, the parking lot has a ton of pot holes.

I’ve only had the burgers and fries for the most part.
The breakfast is really good other than they don’t give you enough hash browns to consider it a serving, unless you’re on a diet.
The buffet is okay, but certainly not worth the price.

The food is edible. I can tell they have taken short cuts in the kitchen and it shows in the quality. I really enjoy the salad bar when it’s up and the waitresses are always good.

Food was top notch. Was piping hot when it was brought to me. Wait staff was very friendly and even made a suggestion to try. Absolutely spot on with there suggestion I might add. Quiet cozy place. Lots of parking for big trucks. Darn good sweet ice tea.
