I eat here at once or twice a week. My favorite is the regular chili cheese hotdogs with cheddar. They’re always really good. Today I decided to try what he called the “Carolina Pig.” It’s a pulled bbq pork sandwich with coleslaw on it. I’m originally from the south and I have to say, this was one thing that reminded of good ole home. Awesome flavor and very tender. Best I’ve had in NY so far. If you haven’t tried this place, you should. Yes, it’s a little shack looking place in a parking lot between two businesses, but it’s making a big noise with the food. The service/owner is among one of the nicest guys you’ll meet.

Any time you’re in Lyons you should definitely check out JJ’s Dog House. Back in the day, being in the dog house was meant to be a punishment and a bad thing…at JJ’s Dog House it’s the complete opposite and the best thing! The food is absolutely fantabulous and even my son who always orders Mac n Cheese whenever we go out to eat wanted to try something different. He ordered the hot dog kid’s meal and it came with a Zweigle’s hot dog, French fries a Capri sun and a Popsicle for under 8 dollars. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss burger and it was one of the best I’ve had locally. You won’t have a hard time finding parking and there’s plenty of outdoor seating. The owner is very friendly and works hard to cool quality food with excellent customer service. I love JJ’s Dog House and I’m sure you will too, and if you don’t you need to reevaluate your poor life choices and decision making skills. 4 stars!!

It is with pleasure to write this post. I stopped by few weeks back and after scanning over the menu I choose the Pork sandwich. The Owner said they sold out and had been recently alot recently. I left with a chili burger but definitely still had that pork on my mind. I stopped by tonight to receive the good news, they still had some. As I waited for the BBQ sand. The cook wanted me to try it plain. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, it’s been a long time since I bit into something actually made with Love and Care! For only 6 bucks you will walk away with a plate you feel your gma made for the holidays!!! It’s that good! It’s a must! If the food continues to produce at the calibor they’re serving, you will have eaten at the new Staple Stand of Lyons Ny. Aka the new Caboose!

Middle of the day and nobody is there but the mobile orders still work somehow, so I drive from the next town over to pick up someone’s Doordash order and have to explain to everyone involved that the store is in fact closed, for which I got exactly zero dollars. Wasted a lot of resources. I have no opinions on the actual food because I’ve never had it.
