JJ’s is the oldest bar in the state of Tennessee. It has been continuously open in the same location for close to 90yrs. It is rumored to be haunted and is a smoking bar so you must be 21 and over to enter. This is the Cheers of SE Tennessee where the locals come to socialize, everyone is friendly and the place has great character, a fantastic dive bar. We have the CHEAPEST BEER IN TOWN and beer is all we have sorry, no wine, no liquor. The google app makes the hours look confusing we open at 11:00am and are open till 1:00am except on sunday’s we close at midnight.

They don’t serve food but it’s a true local dive. Karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights and 1 pool table plus 1 dart board for recreation. Smoking allowed inside so don’t plan on leaving without smelling like an ash tray, but hey, isn’t that what makes it so great?! You won’t regret stopping in for a cold one and enjoying the friendly local atmosphere.

We were just driving through when i asked a local where we could buy beer for our stay at one of the cabins.And he said only at jjs so we drove up to the window and bought 2 cases of beer 1 coors and 1 reds hard cider. I handed her my card never in a million years did i aspect her to say$108.00. Yes its my fault i didn’t have too but i also wouldn’t ever go back or give them the opportunity to get any more of my business. Or would i recommend them to anybody else to give them the chance to do this again.

We love this place. Great place to go play pool have some good drinks and you are allowed to smoke inside which is a plus because they don’t serve food it’s an actual bar ❤️

Love this place! Bartender was very kind, beer was ice cold, jukebox had great tunes! Wanted to get away from the crowd that we rode the train with and this spot was perfect. If you can’t handle smoke don’t come in. Literally walked in and ‘I love this bar” was playing and we knew it was the place for us!

Great place for Karaoke! Staff is super fast and accommodating. Crowd has a good vibe. Prices are right. I love that they still allow smoking inside. Usually packed FRI/SAT. Seems like they recently got a few new bartenders that seem nice. They only serve beer and wine.

My partner and I went to this place and we will not be going again. We walked in and was greeted with a strong smell of cigarettes. We sat ourselves at the bar and the bartender came over and just stared at us. I said hi and she said hi back and then just stared. Basic hospitality is lacking here. She didn’t let us know what they have or anything. It looked like just beer. This is definitely a local spot and we clearly weren’t locals. She then walked away and went back on her phone. Also this place doesn’t play music. So it was awkwardly silent. Wont be going back.
