An exceptional BBQ spot with a genuinely welcoming, family-style atmosphere and attentive service. The quality of the food is outstanding! It is easily the best barbecue I’ve had, and I’ve had plenty. The rib tips and pork steak were both excellent, and if you’ve never tried pork steak, this is the place to do it. The mashed potatoes are some of the best I’ve ever had, and every side delivers: flavorful green beans, standout baked beans, and excellent mac and cheese, potato salad, and pasta. The pricing is fair and the value is unmatched for the quality and portions. This restaurant is truly top tier and well worth going out of your way for.

Wonderful BBQ. Their cheddar brats are amazing, their pork steaks are awesome, the banana pudding and or peach cobbler are tremendously delicious! And their prices are great… another little gem of Granite City! Keep up the good work y’all

Great food its incredibly tender ribs fall off the bone the wait was super quick as well they have high chairs for your little ones too the only thing I found is it was too quiet a few things to note before going in they dont have a soda fountain yet and after you purchase a can of soda your allowed to grab it yourself I felt silly not knowing this so figured id give a heads up and the to go boxes are on the counter too its nice to have a resturant trust people instead of hold their hand for a change at least to me

A friend brought some take out for me after carrying on about how great it is. Pork steaks. It was the best BBQ I have ever had in my life. The aroma of it in the car was enough to make me jump for joy. It The way it falls right off the bone is awesome. The sauce is extremely delicious.The two sides with it were super yummy. I highly recommend JJ’s!

I have been looking for some good Bar B-Q since moving to Granite City, and this does not deserve 5 stars; 20 stars still is not enough. Nice music relaxing atmosphere. Customer service You have to visit them. I had a rib plate, and I will be eating this for a couple of days. That’s just how much food I had. Mac-n-cheese Delicious. Meat falls of the bone.

The ribs were tender and smokey and absolutely delicious! Best we’ve ever eaten – and we know our bbq! The sides were delicious, too! It was extra special that the Pitt master – JJ himself came out to meet us as did the sweet lady who cooked the sides!

Food was great, green beans had meat and onions in them just the way I was thought to make them got a cheddar brat, would have like to be able to taste the sauce. That was a very small issue the young man who took our order was above and beyond helpful very welcoming.

Goodness.. when you walk in.. the smell is delicious! Y’all this place is amazing, nothing fancy..just great food and service. We’re not from here, we live about 5 maybe 6 hours away..thought we’d try somethin new..glad we did. If you’re driving anywhere near here..you need to stop in and get some bbq. Hubby got the pork steak..wow I can not say enough about how good it is. I got the half chicken..not that I can eat all that.. but again.. wow!! Tender juicy.. soooo good!! Their bbq sauce is really good as well. We both tired the mac n cheese and baked beans.. they to are great. You can’t go wrong here. The service was wonderful.. friendly and very helpful. When we asked for a little more bbq sauce.. she brought 2 containers out.. they were nice and warm. If I could give more than 5 stars.. I would. Come on out .. this place truly is a gem!!!
