While running errands around Havelock, we decided to stop for lunch. We decided on the meat sampler platteronce we arrived. Each sample was completely delicious in it’s own way. I really liked the smoked chicken and smoked brisket. The cole slaw and mac n cheese were an addition to the meat platter. A quaint place to enjoy some delicious food. We always enjoy this place.

First time dining here. The brisket sandwich was great! Service was spot on and the dining area was not too crowded. I will be going back to try the pulled pork. Only have 3 stars because I haven’t tried more items on the menu. Convenient stop while traveling highway 70.

Just moved here from Arizona and I haven’t been able to find a place that didn’t slather on Vinigar/oil until we had lunch here. The Brisket is deliciously moist, and the ribs are just as good as the dipping sause. The bread was PERFECTLY buttered (I mean… Look at the picture!). The staff were VERY friendly and helpful (it was our first time there) If you want real BBQ go down here and have a good bite to eat. Overall I’d rate this place more than 5 stars if I could- this place deserves better recognition!

First time in the Havelock area. Born and raised in Houston, Texas and I was looking for a place to eat. Being from Texas, it’s hard to find a out of state “Texas” BBQ restaurant that does it right. I ordered the brisket plate with pepper jack mac-n-cheese and potato salad. Some might say it’s pricey, I say that you get what you pay for sometimes. I prefer a little bit more char pin top with a little punk in the middle of the brisket. That’s a personal preference so I’m not judging them on that. The sides were great too. Finally chased it with a Shiner Bock (of course, a Texas beer.) Over all, I see a Texas BBQ restaurant that got lost in North Carolina. I’ll see y’all soon.

Not very good bbq. Meats had no flavor. They needed a rub or salt or something. Chicken was very rubbery and fatty and it covered in slimy soot. Would definitely not recommend it to an out of towner looking for good bbq.

Amazing Texas BBQ, surprised such a place existed in NC. Food was flavorful and tender. Got the biggest thing on the menu (sampler) ate about half in the restaurant, then took the remainders home for leftovers. still tasted great the next day.

The first time I came here the workers told me about the 5 meat sampler which was 25$ with 1lbs of all the meats so that’s 5lbs all together and this was just last year which feed me and my girlfriend and then some and just recently I revisit it’s 29$ but with less meat…SMH Never Again 60$ for What and a waste of gas also….

This place smells great when you walk in. Really good BBQ. I had the brisket sandwich and it was tender and very tasty. The lunch prices are a bit high. However, it’s well worth it. Check this place out.

Great staff, and amazing food!! They let us sample multiple meats and sides for our upcoming wedding. My fiance loved it all. Hes not a huge potato salad person but liked theirs. I think our wedding guests will be very pleased! Owner John is also helpful and great.

Brisket was awesome and sauce had just the right bite to it. The ribs were also excellent. We did the 5 meat sampler for lunch and were stuffed. Should have packed half to go but neither me nor the wife could stop.
