Came in for lunch cause I drive by it a lot. Staff was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. I got the baked muscles and the lunch sushi combo b that came with miso soup, 4 pieces of sushi, a roll and a bowl that came with your choice of topping from the options given and rice and sauce. I got a california roll and the shrimp tempura bowl. For the price ($15), the sushi combo was okay. It was basic and could satisfy a sushi craving. The baked muscles were covered in sauce and their imitation crab mixture that overpowered the muscles to the point where I couldnt even really taste the muscles. They were also basically the same price as the lunch combo so it didn’t feel worth it. Overall wasn’t terrible, but I probably wouldn’t come back.

We always get our orders to go here and they have always been correct and at the promised time. I like the rolls here because they are generous with the toppings and filling. The mixed house fried rice and the shrimp fried rice are also good.

I walked in having high hopes.
The best part was the $6 2for1 Happy Hour.
Mixed tempura – good amount of food and veggie selection but mushy/doughy. Nothing crunchy or crispy about it. The flavor was bland when with the sauce.
Menifee roll – the reverse of a rainbow roll, sushi on the inside. Large, bland and overly creamy with very little fish on the inside.
Rainbow roll – more imitation crab in the inside than fish on the outside.
The $6 Happy Hour for 2 Sapporos was the best part.
If you don’t know any better, you and your date will have enough to eat. If you know better, you’ll go somewhere else.

This place is great. Lunch specials until 3pm. It’s bigger and nicer inside that it looks like from outside. Good AC and comfortable booths and tables. Huge sushi bar if you prefer that. I can’t say enough about the service. I had Ramen from Japanese menu and Kung Pao from Chinese menu. Neighborhood gem.

Today I brought my friend to JJ for dinner. Before this, I had eaten here many times and everything was always great. The sushi chef does an excellent job, and the food has consistently been very good.
However, the woman at the front desk (wearing glasses — I’m not sure if she is the manager), with headphones on and blue gloves, had an extremely rude attitude. We were simply asking about the situation, and when the server went to ask her, she started yelling loudly and used very vulgar language.
We are customers — shouldn’t we be treated with basic respect? I honestly can’t believe this is the same JJ I used to know. The service today was really disappointing. If possible, I never want to come back again.

Love this place and will keep coming back! Get the jalapeño wings every time and they don’t miss. Staff is really friendly and the service is amazing! If you haven’t already gone, then here is your sign!

After playing at Legoland, we found this restaurant on the way home. The food there tasted really good! sushi there were way different than I tried other sushi places. The chef offered new dish to us, so tasty! Btw, we loved the stir fried rice there. Sorry no pic cause we finished before we noticed to give it a shot! lol better go and have a try! You’ll love it!

Excellent service, delicious food, very (Americanized) authentic and fast service. While on vacation, I took my sister and her family out to lunch around their area, they chose sushi, I love sushi, I make sushi all the time at home, so I was A-OK with that, it was a nice place, very organized and professional. We ordered some hors d’oeuvres, Chinese and Japanese food, plus dessert, everything was really delicious (sorry ate the sushi too fast to take a photo lol). Nonetheless, the food is a bit overpriced, but then again everything nowadays is. What I dislike was the mandatory gratuity inserted into your receipt which makes it a service charge, it applies for groups of more than five people, and we were set as more than five people because two babies, which is kind of unfair, as they did not even eat. Anyways, I always think like an European in this matter, if the service is great, we the customer should choose how much to tip, not forced to pay for the employee’s salary, that it’s not fair, if the service or the server has an attitude or they just suck, why should customers be forced to tip, the tip was more than $20, that’s another meal there. Anyways, I give the restaurant five stars because the food was fantastic!

Located near the 215 Fwy off Scott Rd exit, corner of Antelope Rd & Scott Rd in the Walgreens shopping center with plenty of parking. We’ve been going to JJ’s for years now because of their good service, awesome cooks, delicious sushi & Chinese cuisine…the variety is simply amazing! Food is always fresh with excellent presentation. Prices remain competitive, and portions are generous. At the end of your meal, you’re served orange slices which leave you satisfied. The restaurant is very clean with nice decor and a big sushi bar. It’s definitely a great sushi spot that features delicious Chinese food as well.
