Stopped in while on a fall color drive and were pleasantly surprised. My wife said it was the best cheese sandwich she’s had and my hot ham and cheese had very good ham and cheese, not always the case in smaller places. Could not beat it in Chicago, and we paid way less. A comfortable local place that I will bet has a good local following.

I was in town for work on a Friday evening and did their all you can eat fish fry. Sad at the bar, the bartender was super friendly! I controlled myself and only did two passes through the all you can eat. Would absolutely return if I’m in the area.

J&Js is a high volume restaurant. We went on Friday evening and it was buffet only with no table service so you go to the bar to get your drinks, communication of this would have been helpful. 17.95 includes a very basic salad bar and soft serve ice cream. Seafood buffet was very good and kept full and included fried cod, catfish, clam strips & fries. There is also broiled cod, cut potatoes and canned corn & beans. Not quite the experience I was hoping for but got the job done.

Their prime ribs on Saturday night are delicious and the hashbrown portions they serve are huge! Great place!
