I haven’t been here in about 15 years. My wife had never been here so she wanted to try it out. It’s a small place inside, old Taco Bell. We sat outside since it was a nice day. Our server was Brandy. She was nice and attentive. I ordered half dozen raw oysters and wife ordered fried mushrooms for starters. The mushrooms were real good. The oysters were ok. Oysters are sometimes hit or miss, today, they were on the “miss’ side but still enjoyable after dressing them. I ordered fried catfish and shrimp and wife ordered grilled catfish with grilled veggies and a mango habanero sauce. She also asked to sub the rice for fries. Brandy said they misread the order and gave her rice but they still brought us fries shortly after. Wife really enjoyed the fish and the veggies. She took a taste of the rice (since they brought it anyway) and she said it tasted like boxed rice. I enjoyed my fried fish and the batter it’s in. Fried shrimp were large and delish. All in all it was a good visit, my wife said she would come back… And we probably will. Thanks Brandy.

I love everything about JJ’s. We had the JJ’s Fried Party Feast, & grilled Mahi. The whole meal was amazing! I have to give a shout out to Dallas & Melanie. (I hope they don’t mind me including their names.) We never had to ask for anything. They were on top of our meal from start to finish. Everyone in the restaurant was so friendly & helpful! This was our first visit, it was my Birthday dinner and Didn’t disappoint! My husband and I hade fried shrimp and fried oysters they were delicious, the hushpuppies & fries were great. Oysters Rockefeller excellent! I will definitely be revisiting this Oyster Bar.

We enjoyed our first visit here tonight. It was a bit crowded due to small space but a table cleared up as soon as we arrived and we were immediately seated and helped. Drinks came fast, food came fast. Food was fresh and hot. We had fried shrimp and catfish baskets, and lemon butter chargrilled oysters. We had zero complaints and will come back again.
We did come with a toddler, and while the environment is more dive-bar-ish, it wasn’t non-family friendly.

Excellent place. I went on a Thursday at 1:00pm and there was no wait time. The catfish fillet was cooked perfectly as well as the shrimp. The fries were very good. They weren’t overly salty and had a fresh taste. In addition, the service is very attentive and straightforward.

Don’t know why this place calls itself an oyster bar. More of a fried seafood dive bar. Prob decent if you want fried seafood and beer. Avoid if you’re looking for fresh oysters. Only offer one type of raw oyster, don’t list where it’s from, comes out in plate of dirty water, with tartar sauce,no ice. Couldn’t even eat the six, they were watery and tasteless, nothing like quality fresh oysters. Many options for grilled, those might be nice. But if you are looking for an oyster bar to get fresh oysters and a martini, this is not it. Told my friends I went here for oysters and how disappointing it was, asked if all of fort Worth oysters would be this way, they said I should have asked them they would have told me to avoid this place. Service was nice, prob a good place for fried seafood. Definitely not an oyster bar
