Best food in Auburn! No really.
Now, if you’re not familiar with authentic Polynesian cooking, then trust me when I say this is like gourmet Michelin Star quality food that also happens to be served in a casual takeout café by a delightful family who prepare every dish with love.

They were open on Thanksgiving, huge win! The selection was plentiful when it came to meat. There’s a few kinks to work out, our spinach and beef had foil soaked into it, making it hard to eat around and the turkey breast we spent a good amount on was not cooked fully when we cut into it. The beef, ribs, and turkey necks were good-potato salad too
I’d return on a regular day to try it again.

I enjoyed the warm smiles from the owners, and the customer service was excellent. The food was delicious, and to top it off, the prices were very reasonable. It’s affordable, and I appreciate that I can enjoy a great meal without spending too much.

My husband and I visited last Saturday for the first time and we love the variety of food we bought. Especially the oka(raw fish in coconut cream) was top tier for us & it reminded me of my mom’s recipe. We surely will be back. Thank you J&J.

My honest review is that the food is not bad but decent. The brisket had a very distinct smell like it was getting bad (we didn’t eat it), not like the other briskets I’ve had at the other Polynesian stores. We also tried the fried lamp with pumpkin, fai’ai fe’e and pilikaki, they are blend like they purposely do not add salt in it. I’m not sure why. The only thing I can agree on like all the other reviews is that chicken is really good plus the taro. The price is another thing $10 per pound for a mixed plate. It’s really expensive because you don’t know how much weight your plate is until they weigh it so you can easily go over $30 on one plate. Customer Service is not really welcoming. I like to walk into a store or an establishment and feel welcome by whoever is greeting me. Just a simple welcome in how was your day? We’ll do it for me. Maybe next time I will have a better experience.

Ordered sua fa’i and chopsuey. The containers were not closed tightly and my food spilled all over my car. Frustrating, had to do a deep clean inside my car.

Tried a few dishes to determine what to order for an upcoming family gathering and the food is amazing…the corn beef is cooked to perfection, the turkey tails are delicious and the chop suey is to die for. Not to mention the staff are so friendly and efficient. Thank you JJ’s!! My family will definitely be regulars .
