Good prices for what you get, where do you find deals like this these days? If you’re traveling and parked at the truck stop across the street, take that walk across the street, it’s well worth it. Definitely hitting em again when I’m back up this way .

I so wanted to give this place 5 stars because the prices here for fish dinners with French fries and coleslaw are so cheap but here is why I had to shave off 2 stars. Based on the other reviews I wasn’t expecting to be super impressed by the service or the atmosphere but for the price, I didn’t think the service was all that bad and when I arrived there were maybe 3 other customers ahead of me and it didn’t take long till my order was ready. I’m not from this area and the bullet proof glass and police presence at the truck stops next door tells me it’s probably not that safe a neighborhood but all those things aside the portion of the large fried cod dinner I ordered looked like a great value but unfortunately it lacked flavor, even when I dipped it in tartar sauce. So I took 1 star off for the lack of seasoning on the fish itself which seemed like it may have been frozen and not fresh. The final deciding factor that made me take another star off is because this place didn’t allow adequate time for the food to cool off before placing it directly in a styrofoam container and the hot fried cod melted holes in the styrofoam which is unhealthy to eat if plastic from the styrofoam melted onto the food. So beware and perhaps don’t eat the section of the food that may have melted styrofoam on it. Also I probably won’t try the cod here again. The breadcrumbs they use is pretty bland. Also they are extremely cheap about basically anything, even napkins so I’m considering just being prepared with my own as well as bringing my own lemon slices next time.

Delicious food and great selection for fried or baked fish. Check this place out when you get a chance totally worth it just don’t expect great customer service from the girl behind the window taking your order she’s pushy and impatient for new customers trying to navigate the menu other than that it’s a great place if you love southern style cooking.

I usually don’t post bad reviews but I’m highly disappointed with JJ today. I make it a point to stop here in my semi whenever I drive through this area. The young lady and cook that worked tonight needs retraining. The food lacked flavor and no seasoning. The coleslaw tasted like cleaning supplies. I called to inform the coleslaw tasted off and the cashier pretty much dismissed my concerns. Not what I expect from someone who gets paid to serve food.

I would give this business 0 stars if I could. You are given the option to order at 3 different delivery services for pickup or delivery. I ordered my food for pickup and upon arrival there was no record of my order and the cashier said they do not have online ordering and was rude about it. Why is there an option to order online if that service does not exist?? I was able to receive a quick refund, however this was inconvenient and a complete waste of time.
