I went to this place before the new year came in and I really enjoyed it! Prices are not bad for the amount of food you get! At this time I went they were kinda busy, but they took care of everyone who came in. They took awhile with my food, but I didn’t mind the wait because what I had turned out great! I love the fact that it’s originally from the CHI, and anything up north inspired etc.. I love to support since I’m from Philly. It reminds me of a spot in Philly that everyone use to go to. Other than that, this place is awesome and I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed. God bless y’all ❤️✝️

My niece and I just left this new location. I was expecting it fresh and good due to it being a new location.
However, two orders of jumbo shrimp freaking cooked extra crispy/over cooked . Also, it appeared to look like they cooked it old oil that needed changing.
Bone in cat fish horrible.
I will stick to the Lithonia location, although some of the employees are not customer friendly.

Nice little spot for hot fish and chicken. They cook it as you order it. Definitely a plus!! Combo comes with two slices of white loaf bread, fries and a canned soda. I upgraded my soda to a mango lemonade. They have several other flavors to choose from. The food was good too. Service was fast but a little dry. They take your order and that’s it. But they were extremely busy!

I ordered flounder and when I got home and opened my food, I discovered that they gave me tilapia instead of flounder. Flounders already more expensive than tilapia so I’m really pissed to find out that I pay more money just for them to give me fake fish this is very disappointing and I probably won’t be back to this location

I ordered through door dash and the cake was pretty good. It didn’t taste like a southern red velvet but was still ok. The chicken with the sprinkles of the power stuff is pretty good. Overall 4.0 or of 5.

Food has been good, hot and as ordered both times I’ve gone. Once they were busy, once they weren’t, same experience both times. Their customer service is dry, after spectating both times, their customer service is dry with everyone. However, it’s not rude, so we will be back! Free parking on premises, restaurant is connected to a gas station. Catfish, fries and corn nuggets are all on point, cake was dry – extra “crack” please?!

Like most JJ’s now this food is average at best and not like it use to be. This restaurant no longer takes pride in the food they serve. I use to crave JJ’s and now it just disappointing. I didn’t mind the small chicken because it was that good (now barely any chicken on the bone). The fish is smaller than usual also. This will be my last order…waste of money!

This was my first time at this location. Unfortunately, I ordered through Uber Eats prior and the driver stole my food .
I placed my order online for pickup this time. The cashier was very nice and the place was clean. There was no line when I walked in and was out fast.
Now All of my food was soaked in grease. I tossed the fries in the trash because they were completely inedible. I also ordered the zucchini which were completely mush inside.

Decided to give this plate another try after my daughter’s urging. This time I tried the wings. They were very good and seasoned. The fact that you can get 10 WHOLE wings for $13 is amazing. Especially when I’ve been going elsewhere and getting 10 wing portions for more.
They also give you a lot of French fries, as well as two pieces of bread. It’s honestly a deal. Their favored lemonades are also pretty good. I don’t know if I’ll give the fish another try, but I’ll definitely be back for more wings.

Ordered for the first time today. Both my husband and I ordered the catfish nugget meal. The good thing is everything smelled good, and I loved the fact that they weren’t stingy with the nuggets. It was so much food that we both put half of it away to eat the remainder later. Needless to say we were both excited to dig in.
Unfortunately the food was not up to par. The included coleslaw was super tiny. It was also bland and didn’t really taste like anything. I could look past that because it wasn’t the main dish. What I couldn’t ignore was the fact that the catfish nuggets were extremely fishy tasting. I mean they were disgusting. Add in the fact that I ended up with a bunch of hard bones in some of the nuggets. We tried to jazz it up with hot sauce and tartar sauce, but it still turned out inedible and ending up trashing it. I’m super annoyed because the entire meal was ruined. Wasted $25 because neither of us plan to eat the other half.
I will not be eating at this establishment again, and it’s sad because I heard such great things about this place.
