JJ Fish and chicken

It’s difficult to try and support local businesses when the business don’t appreciate your business. The true feelings for the patrons will be displayed when you have a issue with the food or service. This business let me know they didn’t need my business because I had a issue with the service. I hope at some point we can stop patronizing businesses when they show over and over again that they just want our money and don’t care how they treat us to get it. Hopefully they will realize that one costumer can turn into a community that will not support a business that dismiss a costumer concerns

I was extremely satisfied with the nice lady at the counter. She was extremely accommodating and patient! I went on a Saturday and was able to get their advertisedv lunch specials. I originally wanted the catfish fillets, but settled for the 2pc perch. The 5 wings with fries and pop was pretty decent. I wish the perch was a bit fresher. Waited about 15 minutes and left the nice left a tip.

I am not a fan of JJ ever since the change of management BUT since we have a new one in South Holland I’ve been waiting to give them chance.. I received a Grand Opening coupon and used the one for 6 whole wing dinner.. One of the pieces of chicken should of been Thrown away instead of given to a customer.. 1st and last time there, I have to assume that the knowingly put that chicken wing in my container and it can’t be eaten! It was open just like this..Not appetizing at all! Thats my first impression and it wasn’t crowded or a rush order!

Out of all the J&J’s I’ve visited, this one is my all time favorite!! My fish and chicken were cooked to perfection with the exact amount of seasoning’s and coating! The attention to service was outstanding! From the young man at the counter (Omar) to the older gentleman working the kitchen, were professional and attentive to your order taking. The FISH is so good, this will be my weekly stop on Sundays after Church.
Keep up the good work and don’t ever change!!!

Ok, usually the food here is good. However, the person lately answering the phone gets the orders wrong! Then you have to wait again to get your order. They offer no apology not even a free beverage for their mistakes. Also, there’s an attitude when they get orders wrong. Suggestion would be for them to get a black person (because we are 99.9% of base patrons) to answer the phones, plus this action would employ someone in the community.
