This place is the coolest spot to drink coffee at 5 points. Seating outside is so relaxing. The staff are always friendly and prompt. We went there with my wife and our little one, for a coffee break. Our little baby slept peacefully until we finished our coffee. It’s a very quiet and peaceful place. Thank you.

I thought coffee shops should serve good coffee, tho that was not the case in this location. I ordered cappuccino and got steamed milk… I asked the staff to remake it, and the manager came to ask me if I have ever had a cappuccino before and tell me that it is supposed to be the way they made it. After a short conversation where she lectured me on how cappuccinos are made, she told she can remake it with two shots of espresso. Still she seemed to be irritated by my request. I took a picture of the remade coffee with “two shots of espresso” that the lady kindly added to my coffee to make it stronger. Still, tasted and looked like pure milk.
I don’t know if it was coffee beans or the barista, but the coffee was bad. If you a good cap, just go the Independent bakery next door, apparently, they know how to make it better there.

I went to jittery joes to study because I was having a really hard week and wanted to study at a calm coffee shop environment to get in a good headspace. I had planned on getting food in around an hour because I take medicine that requires me to stay on an empty stomach for 90 minutes. As I was studying, I noticed that I kept getting glared at by an employee. A few minutes later, that same employee came up to me and gave me extreme attitude saying “do you not know how a coffee shop works? There are so many people that could be sitting in this seat and you wont even order anything.” There was much more to the conversation, but it was extremely rude and caused a scene in front of so many other college students. In fact, multiple other college students approached me and said that they were so sorry that she treated me this way. If there was an issue, someone could have kindly approached me and I would have bought a water. All of this to say, you never know the kind of day/week that someone is having – treat them with kindness and respect. Especially at Jittery Joes, a locally respected place, filled with college students who have so much going on. I went to jittery joes to make my hard week a little bit better, and ultimately walked out (or basically got told to leave) feeling so much worse. This also sucks because I was a frequent customer to jittery joes and loved it here. This employee ultimately has pushed me away.

Updated review and pictures: They really addressed the price tag issue based on the review! Nice job!

✅ Long hours: After pandemic almost all cafes in Athens close at 8pm. This place is the rare coffee shop you can find that opens till 10pm.

Quiet atmosphere: Lots of UGA students come here to study. Quiet inside. I personally feel the light is too dark so not a good reading place for me.

The only thing I wish they could do better is there’s no price tag of coffee beans.

Selling cans and plastic bottles without having recycling is so ridiculous especially in Athens! We have a great recycling system, use it! Coffee is bad, obvs

Nice little outdoor area at this location, drinks were prepared well, staff was nice. After being outside though, we realized the side fence area seems to be infested with huge roaches that were dive bombing us. Sucked.
