Amazing food, PATHETIC wait times,

Always a big fan of Jinya franchise, I first tried it in Dallas, later in New York.

Never been disappointed with the taste but this particular location had a stupidly long wait time of around 25-30 mins and order time was similar 20-30 mins so basically 45-60 mins just to get your food.

I went with my girlfriend, on her birthday eve, it ruined her evening.

Had the black Tonkotsu and it exceeded my expectations!! For appetizers, the french fries that came with two sauces. I can’t even tell you exactly what was in the sauce other than garlic but they were fabulous
Also the pork gyoza. Delicious! With Sapporo on tap,

But the real highlight was the staff. Everyone we came in contact was professional, kind, and attentive. We truly enjoyed our dinner

JINYA Ramen Bar at 2nd & PCH never disappoints! I usually order the classic JINYA Ramen and the mini tacos with poke salmon—absolutely delish! The broth is rich and flavorful, noodles perfectly cooked, and the tacos are such a fresh and tasty addition to the meal. The vibe is modern and energetic, and the service is always friendly and attentive. It’s easily one of my go-to spots whenever I crave comfort food done right. Highly recommend! ✨

My dining experience started off a little rocky as the table was still wet and a little dirty before we sat down and the hostess chose to alleviate it by just getting a napkin and wiping it, but not thoroughly cleaning. After that, the experience improved significantly, especially with the food.

We arrived during happy hour and ordered the crispy chicken, a lychee martini, a beer, and the salmon poke tacos. As a bonus, we received shrimp tempura for free for checking in on Yelp.

The shrimp tempura was a highlight for me—crispy and flavorful. The shell of the salmon poke tacos was also a standout, though I wasn’t a big fan of the crispy chicken, but my boyfriend really enjoyed it. He wasn’t impressed with the happy hour beer, but I loved the lychee martini, though it was a bit strong for me as someone who doesn’t drink much, but the lychee flavor was spot-on.

For the main course, we each ordered the spicy chicken ramen—my boyfriend got the tangy cilantro ramen. We ended up liking each other’s ramen more and switched. The spicy chicken broth was a little bland for me, but the tangy cilantro broth was full of flavor, rich, and satisfying. I’d definitely recommend that one if you’re looking for something with depth! Overall, despite the rough start, the meal turned out to be enjoyable, especially with the right dishes.

If you’re looking for vegan ramen in Long Beach, this is a good option. They opened recently so they are still figuring out a few quirks in terms of service. The food tastes the same as their other locations so that’s good. If you’re into tea, they serve Bigelow and Lipton. You’re warned. They also have happy hour!

My family had The Tonkonsu 2010 today, my husband and I shared.. then we bought some to go for our friends. A few hours later my tummy started hurting and then my husband said he too. Then later that day when we met with our friends. They too had diarrhea. We were very disappointed. Jinya is supposed to be a reputable restaurant but this is just very upsetting!

[Update: Tried a vegan ramen, the Tsunami White Pearl. I’m dumbfounded a vegan broth is this thick and rich. Well executed Jinya.]

Long Beach has a new Ramen Bar in town, and it’s awesome. First, love the fire pit table outside, the inside has a nice warm atmosphere, very cozy ambient lighting. Staff is friendly and fairly attentive.

The food however is what makes this place shine. I’ve only tried two Tonkotsu options (one spicy, one black garlic), but they were both slightly different. The black Tonkotsu used thin noodles, and the spicy used thick; both did an excellent job of holding the broth to the noodles while you slurp it up. Thick noodles were perfectly cooked as well, springy and ever so slightly al dente for a bit of chew. Waiter warned me from spice level five saying three was hot, and four was the perfect balance between heat and flavor for me, so kudos for that. The regular Tonkotsu broth is amazing, rich but actually not as heavy as some other places.

The appetizers are also solid. Get the curry rice ball croquettes while you can, has that bit of oozy cheese inside, and the curry flavor isn’t overdone. The sushi cones are neat, but maybe a little pricey ($5 for happy hour, I’d happily pay that all day). The tacos are different, definitely good portion to price and delicious. Edamame is well portioned, perfect with a pint of Sapporo as a snack.

I’m legitimately glad this place opened, it’s in the perfect spot between all the other ramen establishments. Definitely will be a regular.

First Timer to a Ramen restaurant and as one should asked about the menu and customer favorites. Service was very helpful, very busy and staff were pleasant. I chose customer favorite and enjoyed it with warm sake. Entree was sufficient but many other tables had starters. I believe I would return to try another dish. 5pm is before the rush, we sat at 6pm and inside sitting was packed.

I came with a party of 4. We were seated right away and every employee we came in contact with was friendly.

We started with edamame. I highly recommend dipping into a little of that chili oil if you want a little spice.

My sister ordered an impossible rice bowl with quinoa as well as an impossible bun. We were informed that they were out of quinoa for the rice bowl as well as vegan mayo for the impossible bun.

The ramen we ordered was the Vegan red fire opal and the Jinya tonkatsu black. We also ordered a kid’s meal.

Everything was delicious! Service was fine. I would definitely come back.
