Enjoyed everything we ordered. No wait as we were willing to sit at the bar (would have been a wait for a party larger than 2). There were big tvs on the wall playing sports (on mute) which is a pro for some and a con for others. Would happily come back to try the veggie items we skipped.

The food and atmosphere was good. The amount of fish in their dishes where on the lighter side compared to most sushi restaurants, and the prices the same.

Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. The tempura green beans, steamed buns, and nikko roll was cooked to perfection. The cocktails were also amazing. I recommend getting the matcha madness drink. This is honestly one of the best sushi spots in Oxford and I’ll definitely be back. 10/10 recommend.

Very cool place with wonderful food and service. The freshest fish, attentive and knowledgeable wait staff, wonderful seasonal cocktails. I had a smoky Salvador Dali themed cocktail that was perfect. We sampled many dishes including steam buns, the hot rock, spider roll, grilled edamame, and assorted nigiri, all delicious.

This was our first time trying Jinsei as a family. We have a family member who suffers from severe food allergies. She was able to enjoy as much sushi as she wanted with no side effects. Our server was excellent, kind,caring, and very patient with all our requests. One of our party recently had surgery, and some water was spilled near our table, I asked our server if someone could come clean up the spill, and she immediately cleaned up the spill herself, no problem. I am disabled and have fallen down in restaurants and other public places due to liquid spills on the floors of those businesses. It is not very pleasant to fall down due to wet or slippery floors, and it is especially humiliating falling down in public. Your server took care in making sure that neither the member of our party who had surgery nor I would fall and hurt ourselves. Her service was quick,thorough, and very attentive, I ordered the hot rock steak, my first cooking rock cooled down, and she immediately replaced it with another hot rock on request. Our food was well prepared. We were seated immediately when we arrived, Service was fast without being hurried. An overall enjoyable evening and dinner.
