Friendly service; above and beyond every time I’ve ordered. In Detroit I was obsessed with “Almond Boneless Chicken” or War Su Gai. And I was delighted to find it here in Chicago (aren’t we so spoiled with food here in the city?!)! The chicken was moist and lightly breaded. The brown sauce took me back to many comforting memories. Thank you for making this dish. It was everything I expected and the quality made it exceptional.

Two friends and I ordered 3 dinners and crab rangoon. EVERY dish was TASTELESS. My Shrimp Padthi was watery with NO flavor or taste. The beef fried rice barely had any beef and no flavor/taste. The Lo mein was just as bad, no flavor or taste, watery. Usually when you open the containers you can SMELL the food. NOT TONIGHT. Between the three of us we spent $68.00 tip included. I’ve been eating here since COVID passed and the food has gotten worse in the past year or two. Hire a new cook, stop SKIMPING on the ingredients.
whatever you do, PLEASE do it soon or continue to have a DECLINING BUSINESS and loss of INCOME.
Sincerely,
In need of good ASIAN CUISINE IN LINCOLN PARK

Great Chinese food at a reasonable price.
The Governor’s chicken was tender and flavorful. The combo fried rice was flavorful.

I recently visited this restaurant and was surprised to find it completely empty. I ordered the chicken potstickers and the Singapore rice noodles, requesting that they substitute the thin rice noodles with lo mein noodles. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.

The potstickers, while flavorful, were just dough with no chicken inside—as evident in the attached photo. As for the Singapore rice noodles, I specifically asked for lo mein noodles instead, but they left it as thin rice noodles. When I pointed this out, they insisted that the thin noodles were their version of lo mein, which was baffling. That would have been frustrating enough, but to make things worse, the dish was almost entirely missing meat—I eventually found one tiny piece of chicken buried in it.

It’s frustrating to see restaurants receive high ratings just because they’re small businesses. Good food and honest service should be the standard, and unfortunately, this place didn’t meet either. There’s no way this deserves the high ratings it’s been getting.

This is the best Chinese food in Chicago and it’s not even close. Pound for pound, for the price you pay, the amount of food you get and the quality is unbeatable. The staff are incredibly friendly and they make the experience that much better. I always feel good supporting this place with my business, I’ll be back again soon!

Found out about Jin Asian Cafe from a local Facebook Group. It’s one of if not the ONLY place in Chicago that has ABC- Almond Boneless Chicken (War Su Gai) which is a Southeastern Michigan / Northern Ohio staple. I ordered it immediate and was blown away by how deliciously authentic they prepared it – just like what I grew up with in Michigan. Crispy breading, tender chicken, and mouthwatering gravy. Jessica the owner was so welcoming and recommended other specialities which I’ll try on the next visit. Definitely check it out!

Ordered delivery. The bag was not packaged securely, and the entire containers of moo shu and sesame chicken spilled out into the bag onto EVERYTHING. A small piece of cardboard between the plastic containers and rice containers would have helped stabilize it.

1 of 2 white rices were missing.

The sesame chicken container was skimpy—barely half full for $15. As if I had ordered a small.

The moo shu was good and their pancakes were decent which is hard to find in the city.

Disappointed overall…. I was hoping it would have been my new go-to Chinese spot.
