So sad to see this location close, which is one of my all time favorites. Me and my family always had a great experience here, to-go or dine in. Today, was the last time we could go due to its closure. We never had a bad experience here. Shoutout to Henry, the manager who’s been working here for the longest time. He was always helpful and caring. Thank you for the best memories Jim’s.

We’ve been coming here for years not as much as we used to, especially after 2020. We came in after picking up my son from school and we immediately regretted it. First of all the food. The food here has always been good not amazing but good especially for the price but now just like everything else has gone up in price but the food is just as mediocre. Its not about the price don’t get me wrong but only if the food justifies it. The burger visually looked good but tasted like it was unseasoned and just thrown on the grill. What was mostly disturbing is the condition of the building itself. When I was seated I decided to look around to see the floors dirty and table weren’t the best. What was concerning was the ceiling. Not sure if its mold or just water stains but regardless it looked disgusting and covered most of the ceiling. Then I saw a server come to the kitchen and asked to smell something to see if it was good to then nodded their head no. That tells me as someone that worked in a restaurant before that they aren’t properly labeling their food for our safety. Just know that I won’t be coming back here ever again.

I find Jim’s to be a very traditional American food restaurant. The food is very good and you will not be disappointed with the seasoning and the presentation. The atmosphere of the restaurant is agreeable and conducive to a stay for good conversation and recreation just with friends or family. We have been here many times, and will continue to come, I recommend the pancakes and any egg style to go with it. We mostly go for breakfast or brunch on Sundays.

We came back to Jim’s today. Well, while we’re enjoying our delicious pancakes and sides,
I can’t help but my vision goes to sad details of the building. The air vents and ceiling wafers are noticeably deteriorated, stained and dirty. It seems the that’s breathing down on my food. It is disappointing that the up keeping and maintenance of the building remains untouched.
The vintage decoration and furniture seem original. These have never been repainted. However, there is a difference between vintage, and neglect.
In my opinion, the enjoyment of the food is diminished by the condition of the interior of the building. Us seniors, “we see everything”

First time here, passing through never heard of it. Hearty breakfast, great service, good coffee. Eggs were a tad greasy. I would come back if I had occasion to visit the area again.

Food was very good and service was as well. Haven’t visited in a long while. I appreciate having breakfast at noon here 🙂 Jim’s did not disappoint. Chicken tortilla soup was very good as well. Tried the soup for the first time and would come back for it.

Not impressed. My medium-rare steak was much too rare. It took a long time before the waitress checked on me so I could ask for it to be cooked some more. Then after it came back, a recheck was not done until I was nearly done eating.
I was not advised having a salad as a substitute to the side options was an uncharge. If I new that, I would have gotten the side and paid for the side salad.
The place feels weird & eerie.

Usually eat at other nearerby Jim’s Restaurants. Purpose was to meet a prospective friend at a midway point. Menus are basically the same throughout Jim’s Restaurant chain. It is in a nice shaded location off of Bandera Rd. Traffic is heavy at this location. No problem with parking. We were in no hurry, so the length of time to place an order and serve us didn’t matter. My Texas Omelet was good. My guest’s BLT Sandwich was satisfying.

“Re-introduced” my mother in law to Jim’s. Typically I would do a brunch omelette, but went for the Paddy Melt today. Great rye, sweet onions and some great beef. “Them rings are the things”. Lower score based on overall cleanliness and upkeep. Hard to pick the best time for repairs and upkeep on a 24 hours restaurant, but you just have to choose and get stuff done. Bathroom cleanliness is a big issue here.

This is our favorite Jim’s. We are heartbroken that it going to close soon. If the owner would just update the building then the customers would come back. Most go to the Culebra location because the Bandera location is delapidated….
