We don’t drive to Bellmead often but wanted some real good fried chicken and decided to give it a try. We ordered a family meal and a side of fish. It was good. The fish was a big piece. Served fresh and hot. Apple turnover was delicious. They are open till 9 so it helps when you work late and other places close early.

I’m not sure how they even have a 4.4 star rating… Ordered the chicken fried steak and I’m pretty sure it was missing the whole chicken fried steak!! It was flimsy and very bland and paper thin! Like where was the meat? Gravy had no flavor whatsoever! Ordered a chicken thigh and All you taste is oil and soggy chicken skin. Thank God for the buche taco place next door to them! If I wanted disappointing chicken I would have gone to Bush’s Chicken but this place is yuck! Raw chicken probably would have tasted a lot better. Just saying. And the sign in the drive-thru window saying cook to order but yet they have a whole bunch of chicken sitting under a heat lamp yeah that’s not cooked to order thats e- coli waiting to happen. Never again will I eat here.

Food was okay and hot but the service is not there. Mr. Jim needs to get his company back ASAP!!! Better count your money they charged me 15.14 for a 4 piece tender and drink. Gave the young man a 100 dollar bill he gave me back 67 dollars go figure. And didn’t fix my drink correctly and also no utensils to eat with. Wow alot in 30 minutes. Give the company back and stop trying to take over America!!

Visted this place went inside as Hispanics gentleman how do they sale there gizzard he explained that you get 8 gizzard a roll for$11.49 i gently declined. Checked later that the price of that order was only $7

Anytime Im passing thru Waco, I have to stop at Jim’s! I get the chicken strips which are big and juicy as you can see by the pictures attached. The chicken is always hot and has a buttery taste that I love. Chicken comes with crinkle cut fries and roll. ALL items I have tasted at Jim’s is GOOD.
I took away 1 star because they didn’t give any ketchup for my fries and gravy could be a little thicker!

Revising my previous review of this place. Much better. Drinks are now included in the meal again and everything looks newer. Always was great chicken. Def worth the trip.
