I’m not sure how they even have a 4.4 star rating… Ordered the chicken fried steak and I’m pretty sure it was missing the whole chicken fried steak!! It was flimsy and very bland and paper thin! Like where was the meat? Gravy had no flavor whatsoever! Ordered a chicken thigh and All you taste is oil and soggy chicken skin. Thank God for the buche taco place next door to them! If I wanted disappointing chicken I would have gone to Bush’s Chicken but this place is yuck! Raw chicken probably would have tasted a lot better. Just saying. And the sign in the drive-thru window saying cook to order but yet they have a whole bunch of chicken sitting under a heat lamp yeah that’s not cooked to order thats e- coli waiting to happen. Never again will I eat here.

We don’t drive to Bellmead often but wanted some real good fried chicken and decided to give it a try. We ordered a family meal and a side of fish. It was good. The fish was a big piece. Served fresh and hot. Apple turnover was delicious. They are open till 9 so it helps when you work late and other places close early.

Took awhile to get my order and others orders were placed ahead of people that had been waiting for their order and some had to be reminded of what their order was. Usually I don’t experience this at the place but sometimes one bad experience is all it takes for people not to return, that’s not my case, I will return but if it was my first visit, I would not have. The parking lot needs repairs.

Ordered an 8pc mix with fries and a small macaroni and cheese. The chicken was ok, a bit salty. The fries were very good, could of been cooked a bit longer. We didn’t likenthe mac n cheese.

Anytime Im passing thru Waco, I have to stop at Jim’s! I get the chicken strips which are big and juicy as you can see by the pictures attached. The chicken is always hot and has a buttery taste that I love. Chicken comes with crinkle cut fries and roll. ALL items I have tasted at Jim’s is GOOD.

If I wanted bush’s chicken I would go to there. Instead I drove past 2 or 3 bush’s chicken to get to Jim’s but the last meal we got we spent 30 bux on a 20 piece and the quality was that of what I get at bush’s so I spent more and drove further to get a low quality product hopefully if I go again it will be back to the great quality it was before.

I drove by the parking lot was full and the drive-through is stacked back five cars so I turned around and got some great fried chicken
