We had great service and a fun experience starting the day on our son’s birthday! We were also seated right away which is always a bonus. We would definitely go back.
The staff was amazing as well as the food.
We really had a great time.
Our server was friendly, and in the beginning was very helpful. However, once we got our food, we couldn’t find him until he brought the check. It was a bummer since we were all needing refills and were proactively trying to track someone down. I’d recommend getting refills the moment you get your food just to be safe. And to save you any potential confusion, you pay at the register up front.
Overall, Jim’s was an okay dining experience, and I’d come back if someone else wanted it, but I wouldn’t proactively choose eating here myself.
I’m horrible with remembering names, but I believe our waitress was Kristen (please forgive me if that’s incorrect) – she was amazing and very personable. She made the experience even better!
When I got to check out she says that’s our Credit card fee $1.50 Cute like she was proud of it.
I said with no warning. She says it’s on the receipt. I said a little late. If it was about the cost they could bump the prices they must want cash for taxes or something. I guess it’s just this location? But won’t make me excited to return.
Better watch it people will cut the $1.50 out of the tip.
My only
I had a Greek chicken kebab with fries and salad. It wasn’t really busy around 1pm. Service was great. The people who work here are really nice, but yeah I really wanna emphasize on the Owner ‘s brother the one that works in the kitchen. He’s been through a lot but his positivity and kindness really inspire me today.
I highly recommend the Belgian waffle with whip cream, but don’t get the strawberries. They are the frozen strawberries just thawed and make the waffle really soggy. So that was a little disappointing, but the whip cream and waffle are so delicious.
The Jim’s breakfast is good, a lot of food i recommend you share with someone.
Finally the French toast was okay, i wouldn’t order again but they were good.
My family was eating at Jim’s Diner with my dad’s service dog. My younger sister — a minor — gave the dog a small piece of bacon, and instead of calmly addressing it, the manager came over and grabbed her by the arm and told her she cannot do that. She physically touched a MINOR. She was trying to do it discreetly so we wouldn’t see. We immediately asked the waiter for the manager to come back out so she can speak to adults like she should have done originally.
When my dad and the rest of us confronted her for putting her hands on my sister, she then grabbed my dad’s arm too. That’s completely out of line and could be considered assault.
There’s no excuse for an adult — especially a manager — to ever touch a customer, let alone a child. This situation could have been handled with simple communication and respect, but instead it turned into aggression and physical contact.
We will never return to this location, and I hope this manager faces serious consequences for her behavior. Parents and families deserve to feel safe dining out — not have their kids grabbed by staff.
