This has to be the best diner in the area. The burgers are 2nd to none. I was looking at the chicken strips and they look like chicken breast. Most plates can feed 2 or 3 people. Try the french toast breakfast, so good!

The food is great however workers can be snappy. They didn’t allow me to use my EBT card because I placed an order through the phone which really doesn’t make any sense to me at all but to each their own.

Food is good but the service is bad
Also there is not soap in the restroom to wash your hands…the lady ask me what I would to drink but when I got my food she said my combo doesn’t come with a drink so I just got one drink even though the receipt says two drinks.

Came just before 9pm with a buddy. They close at 9:30pm.
Cashier asked the Manager if it was okay if we could DINE IN for us but, he said No. No Problem, they want to go home on time.
Although we would’ve cleaned up after ourselves, and tipped, I totally get it!!!!
The restaurants interior is very 80’s kitsch with Linoleum Flooring and Tables found at any dated Fast Food Restaurant.
Novelas always on the screen.
I didn’t bother checking the Restrooms.
Plenty of Parking. Staff is Friendly & Hardworking.
Not the best neighborhood and lots of Homeless walking around outside with Mental Issues but, these Local Ethnic Hole-in-The-Walls usually have The Best Tasting Food!
So, we both Ordered the “Pollo Loco Special” which is a Half-Chicken of Rotisserie Chicken with Bread, Fries & Salad.
I finished My Order with a Large ORANGE BANG! BOMB!!!
The other Long-Standing Hole-in-The-Wall Local Favorite location in Rosemead on San Gabriel Blvd and Graves Rd. finally shut it’s doors last year. I guess they couldn’t compete with the Wuhan Flu. Too Bad for all of us. That place was well known locally as the GO TO Spot for American Breakfast, Mexican Breakfast, Burgers, Sammies and their Pollo Loco.
So, I remembered coming to this El Monte Location during the Early 90’s and thought I’d see if it had the Pollo Loco since it was a Long Standing Local Chain and ultimately, They Did!!!
Juicy Delicious Rotisserie Chicken meat with Toasted Halved Bread, Small Green Salad and Perfect Fries
Now, My Buddy will become a Regular and he says it’s REALLY GOOD and better than many Popular Westside Rotisserie Chicken Joints with More Bang For Your Buck!!!
I will always come back for more of their El Pollo Loco Special!
