Yeah. I was looking for a place to eat after a long drive up from San Diego. I’d never heard of the place.
So. We stopped there. And WOW! If you’re hungry or an awesome burger, please go to Jim’s! The food was amazing. The fries were fresh!
The 92 year old owner came up and served us our drinks. What a charmer!
Service wasn’t fast food like. It was nice. Friendly.
The decor is very 70’s. The restroom was out of order and really I was kind of disappoint cause that’s my litmus test for how clean a place really is.
Step back in time. Go get yourself some yummy food.
Prices are definitely NOT 70’s . Two western burger meals cost $40+. But it was worth it!

They have good burgers. Not sure about the chicken having as much flavor as I’d like for it being fried chicken. The chicken is cooked good, just missing flavor also disliked The chicken does come with a side sauce. The breads were good. All in all it is an average burger spot, I can say. Clean place. Just dont think it’s a bang for your buck to get anything else but burgers or sandwiches.

This place has gotten so pricey over the years. The food is good but not worth the price. A cheeseburger combo sets you back $17 which is crazy. Only thing worth the price tag are the chili cheese fries or the DUI fries because they load them up.
Also be warned, not sure if their A/C is broken or they just keep it on low but if it’s hot outside, expect it to be warm inside.

Food is below mediocre and the employee attitudes are disgusting and depressing. They are taking up space in this neighborhood to sell overpriced dry garbage. I am PRAYING this restaurant is replaced with something better in the future, or at least better management that can offer more decent quality food at a decent price

I like the food here because they give you so much. My DUI fries lasted two days. And their onion rings are the best. But i dont like the charge for not using cash. Most people don’t carry cash anymore. Someone posted the wrong menu for this place, so i took some pictures of the right menu.

I thought that their hamburgers were absolutely delicious. The hamburger tasted charbroiled and it was juicy. It was so good to the point where I’m thinking of it right now. I also got an order of chili cheese fries. They give you a lot, so beforethe worker brought us our food, I was expecting to be disappointed because nowadays places give small portions even for large chili cheese fries. But this place was a pleasant surprise because I couldn’t believe how much they gave me. It had lots of cheese. It was like they put extra cheese on it. The chili cheese fries were delicious but the chili could use a little bit more flavor. My mom got a burger and fries. They gave her a colossal amount of fries and they were delicious. I’ve never seen a place that gives that much french fries. I would definitely go back but I would get the guacamole fries. I had no idea that they had those otherwise I would have gotten them instead of chili cheese fries (guacamole fries are a childhood favorite of mine).
They charge $1 for a refill. I think they should x that out because their food is expensive.
The workers were okay. Not really friendly not unfriendly.

Jims has a bit of history at boylehights the staff is friendly and always give more then what you pay for. I bought some side of fries for 2.99 and i ended up getting a whole small bagg full that was almost 3 times more then mc donalds and not just that there fries are 10 times better. Aswell the food takes around 10 min to be served not a bad wait time since they cook everything in front of you and they dont have much pre made. Somtimes they do lack a bit and over cook there meat but if you like stuff grilled this isnt a big deal. Another thing is they charge for refills and the cups are a bit small so that is a bit of a down side.

When in Los Angeles, this is a must try just make sure you bring your hunger with you. The burgers are amazing and huge. The chili cheese fries are exceptional. The service, price, and food are adequate.

There prices are high for what it is and, they still get the orders wrong. They guy with glasses didn’t want to correct it when it was guys fault he got the order wrong.
