I enjoyed the food here. Don’t usually visit seafood places so I can’t compare to other restaurants. I had the Paella and really enjoyed it, it was very saucy, tomatoey and had a fair amount of chicken and prawns. The portion was alright for me (5’2 feet). However, I would consider them small for a 6’ foot man who would inhale it in about 2 seconds (and probably still be hungry)
The loaded fries was quite awful. The cheese got hard and kind of chewy quite quickly and there wasn’t much special about it. The Mac and cheese was delicious and creamy. The surf and turf sub was a little dry, I think they should give some kind of sauce with it because it isn’t enjoyable to eat it without. The Jimmy boil for 1 was quite nice although I do find the price was quite high, maybe for occasional eat, it’s fine. All in all, I did enjoy it and would come again.
The atmosphere was okay, not fancy or anything. The toilets were nice and clean. Seating was comfy.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Jimmy Prawns! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. What truly made our visit special was the exceptional service provided by Saroop and Srikanth. They were extremely courteous, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal.
Their warm hospitality and professionalism added a personal touch that made the experience memorable. Thanks to Saroop and Srikanth for such amazing service—we genuinely felt valued as guests. Highly recommend Jimmy Prawns for great food and outstanding customer service. We’ll definitely be back!

The restaurant is conveniently situated near the city centre, the atmosphere was bright and ‘fast’ and the service was attentive and quick. The food was well presented (see my pictures), very tasty, and the prices on the menu very reasonable. They do not have an alcohol licence, so obviously don’t serve alcohol.
The toilets are in the basement and down steps – and on the day I went the gents urinlas were out of order, and the wc cubicle floors had standing water and tissue on them.
There is a prayer room
My major gripe with the place is that, even after ordering over £60 worth of food, they wouldn’t serve me tap water, despite me asking in various polite ways. This is unusual in quality restaurants these days.

Place was busy, we got seated after a 5 mins wait. Service and atmosphere were great, no complaints there.
Bad: Got the Mongolian beef sizzler. Disgusting. Waaaaay too much soy sauce which made it very bitter. Avoid this dish.
Good: The rice it came with were nice.
The a creamy mushroom pasta dish was tasty, as were the dynamite prawns and loaded fries. The prawn platter was grilled well but the marinade just doesn’t get through to the prawns, once the shell is removed the prawns are too plain, choose the next spice level up from what you think you can handle because I ordered the Extra spicy but it was like Medium. The trio of sauces were tasty.

Absolutely amazing as always! I’ve lost count of how many times we’ve visited Jimmy’s Killer Prawns, and it never disappoints. Since our last visit, they’ve added an exciting array of new extras to the menu, which has truly elevated the dining experience. Amazing seafood and excellent food quality. Prices are a bit high, but worth it. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing we were brought the bill without asking and felt rushed to leave. Great food, but customer service needs improvement.

If you love shrimp, you have to stop by Jimmy’s! The shrimp was steamed/cooked to perfection and I mean perfection! Dozens and dozens of shrimp piled mile high was served by our very kind server. The place was clean and they even had those lemon wet wipes to wipe your hands from the shrimp fest. Plenty of seating inside but come prepares to look for parking as street parking is your option

Really rude customer service from this branch and especially the manager Saroob who actually challenged me to post a review. We were seated on a table where we barely had space to breath and a toddler who needed to be fed no space on the table itself too. If you charging such prices atleast ensure your customers are sat properly. We have never had such issues at the Leicester branch. See the image attached they expecting a fully grown adult in this space?
