Jimmy has been making awesome food since my childhood. The clams are always tasty, the service is fantastically fast and friendly, and the prices are a real value. Try it and your taste buds and stomach will thank you. In fact, I’m on my way now since writing the review made me hungry for a clam platter!

I do like the food here.
I come to this restaurant quite often. The counter service can sometimes be bad. It depends on who’s there. Tonight I went in and I was waiting to place an order. Another customer came in behind me. The lady at the counter knew the other customer and totally ignored the fact I was first in line and waiting.
She proceeded to get the customer behind me his order first.
I guess my time was less valuable and my business was less important.
I was a regular customer. Not anymore.

I went to Jimmy’s for Fried Clams. I walked in & ordered rather than calling it in since I knew they were fast. The clams were so awesome I ate most of them on the ride home! Great food & service at a reasonable price!!!

OMG! The best fried claims ever. I have had many dinners here and have never been disappointed. Every item on the menu is fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful with making your dinner selection. Yum !

Had to update this review. At first it was excellent. For 3 wks straight My new fave place. Then 3 times in a row I experienced bad times. So very inconsistent. Wich I personally hate. So I’ll update again when I go back but for now. This is my review.new update month later . : What happened? For yrs and yrs rings and fries came in generous portions on plates. Now dinky boxes of grease, disappointed. And a lil sad.:(

I will never understand why people drive down to Ipswich, Essex, Gloucester; up to NH & Maine when they have a hankering for seafood.
You have the best seafood in your own backyard at Jimmy’s Famous Roast Beef & Seafood, 71 High Street, Danvers, MA.
Once again I just enjoyed the best seafood platter. The clams were sweet & delicious, as were the scallops, shrimp & fish. I have enough leftover to enjoy again for tomorrow’s dinner.
If you’re not a seafood fan, try his chicken kabob Greek salad (with homemade dressing) roast beef, steak bomb or just about anything your looking for.
You won’t be disappointed. Enjoy!

Had fried flounder had awful plank bread crumbs was dry and didn’t seem fresh at all. What has happened to simple old fashioned breading? I have very sensitive mouth and it killed me to eat such a layered, significant and hard coati g on such a light piece of fish. Disappointing.

The bathroom smells like old urine. The toilet not bolted to floor. The whole place needs a renovation. Food tastes ok at best, I do not recommend the chicken parm, it was frozen chicken fingers with jarred sauce.
