This used to be my go to breakfast spot until the manager got rude with me. Told me she didn’t have time to deal with my problem that she created. She was rude from the start mess up my order rude when I said something about my order. Asked to speak to a manager and she informed me rudely she was the manager. She was so rude I didn’t even touch my breakfast. I got up and walked out I told her she’d just lost a customer and her answer was fine. Another waitress came outside and apologised to me and asked if I would maybe come back another day and give them another try? I said no not after being treated that way from management.

Jimmy’s Egg – Newcastle, OK

I’ve been a loyal customer of Jimmy’s Egg for years and have always enjoyed the food and friendly service. Unfortunately, my recent experiences at the Newcastle location have been very disappointing due to serious management issues.

In the past month, it appears that most of the staff has either quit or been terminated, including the assistant manager. Many of the servers who had been consistently kind and attentive are now gone. During recent visits, I’ve observed remaining staff members appearing stressed and upset, even to the point of tears.

When I shared my concerns with what I believe was the district manager, he was confrontational and dismissive, ultimately walking away mid-conversation. He claimed employees were let go for having “bad attitudes” or “speaking poorly” about the restaurant, but based on my observations, it seems these employees were simply unhappy with poor treatment and a toxic work environment.

Ironically, management often speaks negatively about employees in front of others, creating a very uncomfortable atmosphere. On my last visit, I witnessed managers standing with folded arms, sternly watching staff throughout their shifts — it gave the restaurant an unwelcoming, almost punitive feel.

In addition, the cleanliness standards have noticeably declined. I had to check multiple coffee cups before finding one that was actually clean.

I truly love Jimmy’s Egg and hope upper management or ownership takes this feedback seriously. The issue is not with the employees — it’s with leadership that appears abusive, unsupportive, and unprofessional.

Your team members deserve respect and a safe, positive workplace. Please address this before more loyal staff and customers walk away.

Worst waitstaff of anywhere I’ve been in recent memory. They spend more time in the kitchen then in the dinning room. Will stare right at your empty cup and never refil it. It’s like they’re all robots who have missed several software updates.

It has been a long time since I have experienced such hospitality. Our motorcycly ministry event to support a sobriety house was cancelled due to weather. We showed up looking for shelter from the storm, a group of about 20 people. I watched the manager Catelyn spring into action even asking one of their regulars if they would be willing to relocate to accomodate us. They made it happen, and were gracious to us even after they found out only a few of us were ordering food. Truthfully, accomodating us was probably bad for business, and they did it full of smiles. Cant wait to stop through in the future to honor their kindness!

I am a DoorDash and I get sent to stores a lot where the order cannot be found in the system just like that that happened this morning at this Jimmy’s egg and I have never been in a store that treated the problem so professional got it taken care of so smoothly the customer did not even realize that there was any kind of delay Great job staff great job manager.

Probably the most chaotic and slow service I’ve ever got at a Jimmy’s Egg. Food came out at random, not one person got their full order at once, for our party of 5, had to remind the server of missing items, a couple times. Servers were nice as they could be. So I’m assuming the kitchen staff doesn’t know how to time orders to come out all at once

The food was okay, not great.

The server didn’t seem to care at all. My coffee was literally plopped on my table. As I tried to say thank you, the server just walked away.

Eventually I was able to place my order.

My coffee went empty and was not refilled. My server did not once return to check on my table. I waited ten minutes to pay.

The restaurant was not busy and had at least three servers working. The poor service was not because of a lack of staffing.

The waitress took my order and brought my food back to me. I had to ask for silverware. She brought it to me. I had to ask another waitress for a refill on coffee. The other waitress brought me a refill. My waitress NEVER checked on me again. When I looked around to see how many other customers there were, there were 6 booths with people. Me and another man in different booths on one side of the restaurant. When I had finished eating I sat in the booth long enough to type this entire comment. I eat at Jimmy’s Egg a lot, this was by far the worst service I have ever received.

I was pleasantly surprised at this quick stop. The Biscuits were really good. The Gravy was different than what I am used to, but it was good. The Eggs were cooked perfectly. I am grateful for that.
