Tried yak here for the first time and I wasn’t disappointed — it was really good and flavorful. I ordered the spicy yak with beef and shrimp. I went in near opening so there was a small wait, but nothing crazy. It was already dark out (gets dark around 5 right now), but I didn’t feel uncomfortable or unsafe ordering — not to discredit the reviews warning about the neighborhood, just sharing my experience.

It’s Yat Ga Mein. Excellent. Thick Noodles. Thick Gravy (Dirty, Filthy hahaha ) For me, stay away from spicy, it’s good but different. For Authentic see Chop Suey or Hop In over on west side!!

If you are looking for Chinese Carryout, GO HERE!
Best Carryout here in the city. Traversed Patterson Park for this, I’ve tried so many Carryouts but this one takes the Cake.
Love their Yak, LOVE their General Tso, love their fried chicken wings. We also got eggrolls, AMAZING. Crispy. The HALF/HALF, it’s leaning more on the Sweet Tea side but DELIGHTFUL nonetheless.
I repeat, if you want Chinese, you need to go to Jimmy’s.

The best food in town. The Shrimp yak is to die for. The shrimp fried rice taste so good it doesn’t even need soy sauce. The containers are always full packed to the top. The prices are great and the service is fast.

Everything would be good if he’ll just answer the phone properly. I didn’t even get my whole order out and he hung up the phone.
