Had my birthday dinner here, service was attentive and the views from the outdoor seating area were beautiful. The food on the other hand could’ve been A LOT better. We ordered the calamari for appetizer, which on the menu states “for two” and they were ridiculously dry and chewy.. the portion was definitely not for two and it was difficult to eat anyway. my boyfriend ordered the ribeye medium temp and it came out well done. I had the lobster tail and ribeye which were seasoned well and cooked at the right temperature but nothing out of this world.

Jimmy’s has a bunch of seating, all with great views of Mirror Lake. I tried their summer blueberry lemonade cocktail and it was really good. Like many places along the lake, the drinks are pretty expensive (here it was $16), but it tasted so good that I wasn’t too mad. My boyfriend and I both started with the lobster bisque which was a good way to warm up. It also tasted great. He selected the half duck as his entree, and the taste was there, but it was a little dry. I got the short ribs and they were terrific. I would definitely order again. We will definitely come back when we make a trip here again!

Jimmy’s 21 came recommended by a friend for our trip to Lake Placid. We stopped for dinner around 7:15 pm on a Tuesday. Our friend did tell us to make reservations, which we did not do. We went in and it was about a 15 minute wait. We were asked if we wanted inside or the patio and as it was late for us to be eating dinner we asked for the first available seating. We were seated on the first floor patio. I was a little nervous because it was chilly outside, but they were prepared. There were two fire pits, heaters on the ceiling, and plexiglass all around the railing.

Probably my favorite restaurant of my visit. It’s a bit more expensive so fair warning but overall the food quality was worth it. I got the Penne à la Vodka pasta and the sauce was honestly the best vodka cream sauce I’ve had! The only downside is the dish was 25 dollars and you had to pay 8 dollars extra for meatballs but they were good so in this case I got what I paid for and was happy with it overall.

WOW, great food, costly but VERY FINE dining is a little pricey. The duck was excellent, mom loved the salmon. The front table facing the lake was a great accident on a rainy mid-afternoon. Highly recommend this place in Lake Placid town.

Oh my God this place truly was horrible! We waited 48 minutes for someone to just approach the table! Then when they finally did, it was another half hour before we got our drinks which were served with the few appetizers we ordered and they were bland and ordinary. After another 45 minutes waiting for our entrees, we asked our waiter what was the hold up and he said, if you can believe it, that he was tired of being nice to us, that he was too busy, that it was a holiday weekend and we should stop complaining. Seriously, we only complained once after a total of 2 hours. Truly a disaster evening. We left after he yelled at us of course and will never return. Just about any place in Lake Placid would be better dine at. Even the gas stations.

It’s an okay place. Everything is a little pricey but it’s on Main St with a nice view and maybe this is the reason. I had lobster bisque soup and it was very salty otherwise it had a good taste. For main course I had seafood medley and unfortunately it was very tasteless and it was drowned in sauce which I definitely didn’t expect and didn’t like. The bread they serve you is perfect! Service was good

Frutti di mare was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Loved every bit of it and had enough portion for a second meal to go.

Started off with stale bread and fighting off the flies seated in a beautiful view of Mirror Lake. Sauce is awful, no Italian would serve it to their dog. Filet wasn’t bad but for 48 bucks your looking for steak house quality, but you gotta pay for the view. Disappointed but I haven’t found any restaurants in Lake Placid yet worth the money they charge. Plus it costs extra for credit cards.
