Review of Jimmy John’s – Grapevine
I stopped into Jimmy John’s in Grapevine for the first time after a friend told me about their new pizza subs she’d seen advertised. She hadn’t tried one yet, so I volunteered to be the guinea pig.
I ordered the Sicilian Pizza Sub, opting for the 8” size over the 6”, along with a medium drink. My total after tax came to $13.73. The restaurant wasn’t busy inside—just a few people picking up orders—and my sandwich was ready fairly quickly.
Presentation & Taste:
When I opened it up, the sandwich looked very basic: just some meats, cheese, and pizza sauce inside sub bread. The first bite confirmed what it looked like—okay, but nothing special. Very simple flavors, nothing that really stood out.
Atmosphere:
The restaurant itself was extremely clean, though the atmosphere didn’t offer much—it’s very straightforward, just a sub shop. It was slightly warm inside, though not uncomfortable.
Value:
For what I got, I didn’t feel the price matched the value. In my opinion, that meal and drink should have been closer to $10 tax included, not almost $14.
Bottom Line:
I might come back to try something different, but I’m definitely not rushing back. The Sicilian Pizza Sub was underwhelming, and the price felt inflated for what you get.

I thought the two gentleman with glasses standing up front were very helpful. I see them in there all the time when I walk by but never got the chance to try this location. They were very helpful with the menu knowledge and were egar to help out. Will be returning because I love the customer service that I give to people at my job to be given to me! Thanks Jimmy John’s for a quick and easy experience that was so tasty!

Worst Jimmy John’s experience ever! We have ordered delivery from this store numerous times and never had any problems, but last night was ridiculous! Placed online order @ 6:56 pm, 7:05 pm rcvd. call from Jimmy John’s saying they were out of tomatoes would we like anything to replace them, I replied no that was fine with no tomatoes. I called them @ 7:43 to see where delivery was, to be told they were on the way. When driver finally arrived @ 7:55 pm he apologized and also said “we were out of the Little John bread so we did the best we could do”. We opened the sandwiches to find they had butchered a regular sub roll to make a joke of two sandwiches. Pics of what we ordered vs. what we rcvd.: No cheese on either, very little lettuce & one of the sandwiches as you see had a little meat on it and then a blob of bread on top. You call to say you were out of tomatoes, but you didn’t consider to call and say hey we are out of the bread for your sandwiches would you like to change to something else. Of course I called the store to complain and the guy who answered my call was very nice as he apologized and said “I told them you would not be happy with these sandwiches” which we definitely were not happy at all! Apparently whoever is in charge of this store clearly does not care about their customers. Also definitely NOT FREAKY FAST experience!

I stopped at this location today. It was just OK. The sandwich was a mess and the place was filthy. The employees were nice but at the end of the day for one sandwich a drink and a bag of chips it was almost $18. I don’t think so Jimmy John’s, I’m out.

Jimmy John’s just isn’t what it used to be, or at least this location! I do frequent this location from time to time but the last few times I’ve gone here I’ve been wry disappointed. Let me begin by first saying that the first time I was disappointed I found out that they raised their prices, just like everybody else has been, but I don’t want or desire to pay $14 to $15 for a sandwich. Secondly, and this is the reason for this post, is that I ordered a sandwich today and I didn’t have any meat. I was kindly informed that the new owners of the business not only raised the prices but they also lowered the amount of meat, by weight, that goes on each sandwich. So long story short I won’t be ordering here anymore, and I definitely won’t be ordering delivery as they charge a $3 to $4 dollar delivery fee, so two sandwiches, a couple pickles, cookie, and a Coke cost me $45! Also, when I called Jimmy John’s to ask about the sandwich they didn’t offer me a new sandwich, or to fix the issue, which would have been nice.

Went to this place for a second time today. First time, I ordered a turkey sando, hit the road and ended up getting ham…..which I detest. My family convinced me to go back today, which I did, and ordered 3 sandos – 2 were the same and the final was completely different. What did I get? 3 of the exact same. I don’t think it’s that hard to read the order and make a sando to suit, but clearly this place is a mess. BTW, the sandos were not good either. Hard pass!
