Went in at 8:48pm, they had wrapped up and put away everything already. All meats, vegetable, sauces, spices, and put them fullyel away. They were annoyed I walked in. The guy reluctantly took my order and even though I was going to other 2 sandwiches, rang me up after 1 sandwich and went back to counting money. A lady that was sweeping, stopped and came over to make the sandwich without switching gloves. So straight from cleaning the floor to making my still recovering in the hospital wife’s food with dirty gloves. They complained about pulling out each item to meant the sandwich and then when another couple showed 2 minutes later the employees were openly and loudly complaining about customers coming in.
I got my food and made it back to the hospital over 6 minutes away before the posted close time of this Jimmy John’s. Awful time. The sandwich was also made poorly and had little ingredients on it even though I tipped 40%

Got the turkey tom and let me tell you I had one slice of turkey folded in half more lettuce and bread than the meat one slice for the whole sandwich thank you my amazing lunch! $15 for bread lettuce and a slice of turkey

Worst JJ in the nation!
Was in town for work, staying at a hotel nearby. Ordered a JJ for convenience and speed. Left a 25% tip mind you. . . An hour later (JJ is 1.5 miles away) the hotel front desk person is at my door handing me my sandwich. The lazy delivery driver couldn’t walk 80 feet to my hotel door, they just dumped it off at the front desk. Sandwich was soggy and very poorly made. No attention to detail.
Don’t bother replying to my review JJ, I don’t care for your crap response. You can live your life knowing you have the worst location in the nation.

I’m usually a big fan of Jimmy Johns, but the attention to detail at this location isn’t great. Case in point, My Cuban sandwich was made with mayo instead of mustard…

Every single time this one older man thats a delivery driver delivers to me or even my co workers, he asked asks for a tip. I understand tipping delivery drivers, but what I cannot accept is asking for a tip. Tips are a customer curtosy. Either way I always tip, but that makes me not want to. Its extremely rude how he approaches it. After all the years ive worked in the resuraunt industry I have NEVER been asked for a tip like that. Not a good look man. I wont be ordering for delivery through a JJ driver anymore in Elgin. Nothing against the JJ food itself, just that driver is rediculous.

Ordered 2 sandwiches, one with no tomatoes, one with hot peppers + 2 quartered pickles.
Not only did this AirPod wearing employee not add/subtract ingredients appropriately, but also was so lazy that the “quartered” pickles were still fully connected at the skin. I go to Jimmy John’s because it’s so simple that it can’t be messed up. Apparently, I was wrong .

Let me say the people are really nice here and very helpful. They really go out of the way if you have an allergy and have a special section or they prepare gluten free bread. However good the bread is The contents of the sandwich just aren’t that great. The Philly cheesesteak was so incredibly salty I could barely eat it and it cost a lot of money for practically no meat or veggies. The ingredients are really subpar regardless of what they advertise. I have to say that was my first time trying food here the other day and I was very disappointed. Even the tea was super watered down. one of the other sandwiches I ordered was a ultimate cloth and the sandwich was arranged that bacon was only on one half and then hand was only out of 1/2 so the distribution and quality of the food really off. This is literally the most expensive sandwich with the least quality I’ve ever had. I didn’t feel like it be that hard to assemble a sandwich wear the ingredients would be spread throughout it but for some reason it was.

Usually this place is alright. But their hours leave much to be desired. Went there this afternoon and all the lights were on and employees appeared to be making food but the door was locked. No hours listed on the door. I was waved away. If you are gonna close early at least turn the signs off so people don’t think you’re open. As I’m writing this 2 other people also tried to get a freaky fast sandwich only to find out the door was locked.
