Love jj.. but on a regular visit. The employees have long hair and don’t wear nets,or tie back and if they where a hat they don’t tuck the hair. I absolutely love Jimmy John’s and have ordered here several times. Last year I had placed an order for delivery and did not tip because I was intending to tip with cash upon delivering the food. The driver was very rude basically threw the food on the desk and stormed out of here before I could give him the tip. I didn’t think anything of it, I thought maybe he just had a bad day, but it definitely Rubbed me the wrong way and I have not ordered since. Just yesterday, I decided to order Jimmy John’s again did not tip because I was intending to pay with cash and again the driver was very rude. I understand in today’s market tipping is essential, however, I feel like that should not impact CUSTOMER SERVICE you give. Great food but if you don’t tip expect shitty attitudes

The culture here seems to be “don’t bother us within an hour of closing” i have been here a few times where there was not a welcoming atmosphere in the last hour before closing to include being asked how many sandwiches i indented to order before being told they were open or not being able to order a toasted sub, so i left this time not ordering anything at all, probably was a celebrated choice after i left lol. Lucky firehouse less than a mile away WILL make any sandwich cold or toasted until they close…

Anyways, sure enough it’s freaky fast. I really enjoy being able to order online now instead of hurting my neck by looking so far up at their menu.
I wish corporate would give employees more training on upcoming promotions cause these guys admitted they knew little about a promo I asked about because it was complete shock to them, just that morning, that the menu was getting significant add-ons.

App sucks. Sandwiches fall apart and are messy and soggy. They added a “Fan Feast Box” and it costs more than if you bought the items individually. Clearly scummy people run Jimmy Johns.

This Saturday night crew was top notch. They were ready to serve right when I got in the door and got My sandwiches made fast, made right and delicious. They were friendly, helpful, provided great conversation and just all around good people that made me feel really welcome.
I saw the person after me got their sandwich super fast too!
Not sure why the reviews aren’t higher, I was almost even expecting less cause of the rating, but I was pleasantly surprised to see this crew definitely gives it their all to make this a really good Jimmy John’s!

Two days ago, I had a less than ideal experience with this store. I ordered delivery. Not only did I not get the drink with my combo, but the driver left it outside my workplace for me to find, and did not come in the building. I only found out when a coworker found it outside and brought it to me.
Now, the reason for my 5 star rating is this: I reached out to Jimmy John’s about this experience, and the Area Manager for the Madison Jimmy John’s location responded to me, apologized for the mistake, and offered me a free combo.
I wasn’t looking for free food (though I do appreciate it of course- who wouldn’t). I’m also in customer service. I know mistakes get made and not everything has a happy ending, and I appreciate the quick response to me and the effort to make me a satisfied customer. I would whole heartedly recommend this location as well as Jimmy John’s locations in Madison in general, now knowing that if a mistake does get made, they will take the time to make it right.
