Ordering for pickup is fine from here, but ordering for delivery is actually terrible. This time, they gave me a kickin’ ranch that was already past the “use by” time when I ordered. I placed my delivery order at 1:17 pm, and it didn’t get here until 1:52 pm, but the “use by” time was 1:10 pm.

The other main issues just have to do with delivery time and communication from the store/driver. Usually, it takes 30 minutes—1 hour for them to deliver it. They also only knock like half the time and they don’t update their tracker properly, so that results in you not knowing when they drop it off at your door. Even when I don’t check the “leave it at my door” box, they still just leave it outside without knocking, so it just ends up sitting out there.

As a former Jimmy Johns employee, I know my experience here today would not have been acceptable during my time almost 10 years ago. Just prior to the lunch rush, I had 1 person order 1 sandwich in front of me in the store. It still took almost 15 minutes for my sandwich to be made. After my first bite, I was almost positive it was made from day old bread, as it was extremely stale. There was no urgency in the store, and my food was not good. Also, the gentlemen making my sandwich had longer hair with no hats or hair nets. I know we used to be required to have one or the other. I won’t return to this location.

I’ve tried to go to this store three times and this was the final straw for me. Each time they’ve left the lights off on the drive through menu and then no one comes to the speaker. The first time this happened I had to go inside to place an order after your employee didn’t come through the speaker after I waited for five minutes. Each time after I’ve just gone elsewhere. And if you were closed due to staffing I totally get that. But today I literally drove past the drive through window and your employee was sitting IN the drive through window texting. That’s insane… I’m one person and I know my business means nothing in the grand scheme of things, but I drove two seconds down the street to a subway and got my food within five minutes. I would imagine if I’m doing that other people are too.

This is the 3rd time in the last month that I’ve ordered over an hour prior to picking up my sub at lunch, and I’ve had to sit and wait for them to make my order because “they forgot” or “misplaced the slip”. The cashier was super nice and apologetic about it, but the boy and girl making the sandwiches literally laughed, as though I didn’t pay an hour in advance for my sub to be done when I got there. Just absolutely absurd. Only rating 2 stars because the pickle was delectable.

Ordered delivery for my lunch at work. I ordered two separate sandwiches, the Vito and the BLT (pictured). Both without tomato, which the got correct and both with kicking ranch sauce (which is absolutely phenomenal).

The sandwiches were delivered in an appropriate amount of time and made correct. They were good.

Only complaint is price, after delivery fee and 15% tip, the total was $27 for two sandwiches delivered. Cost of convenience is high these days.

Avoid this store. Orders are almost never right. Also, I ordered eight box meals a day ahead only to find out they had not even started them until I arrived to pick them up. I waited 20 minutes to get my food. It didn’t help that the guy making the sandwiches was on his cellphone half the time I was waiting. After all that, the boxes were not complete and I had to remind them I ordered drinks. I had been using
this store for company lunches. Not anymore. And before you tell me to send the feedback using the link, don’t waste your breath. I did that last week and NO ONE CARES!

I sent the below message directly to Jimmy John’s Corp requesting follow up with the local store listed below on 8.18.22. They responded and stated that some locally would be in touch.

As of this date and time, I still have yet to be contacted by the local chain for follow up.

Very poor service. See below. Avoid Jimmy John’s on Coldwater Road in Fort Wayne, IN if you want “Freaky Fast” service..

“Hello,

Please excuse the delay. I have finally calmed down enough to write this feedback.

I made my online order on 8.15.22 at 12:35pm. Due to my busy work schedule, I just wanted to be able to quickly stop in and retrieve my order, once I was able to take a break from work.

I arrived approximately 1 hour later, (1:34pm) knowing full well that my order was waiting for me on the pickup shelf. However, to my surprise, my order nor any other pickup orders were on the shelf.

The store was empty, there were no customers. The only other person in this location was a lone female employee.

I asked if she received the online order from an hour ago and her statement to me was the following:

“I am here by myself and have just gotten caught up.”

I told her that I understood but that I placed my order 1 hour ago and online did not alert me that this store was short staffed so that I as a customer could choose a different JJ`s location for lunch.

The female associate looked at the order in front of her, I assume it was mine because she said, “What, a free birthday sandwich anyway.”

I was totally shocked!! So it matters if I paid on this date versus being rewarded for being a regular “paying” customer..

In short, I am very unhappy with this experience. Furthermore, today is 8.18.22, 3 days later and I still have NOT eaten that sandwich that your lone on duty employee prepared for me that day.

Yes, I still have it in my work fridge as for the trust was gone with her comments.

Please make this right.

I do recommend other Jimmy Johns nationwide, just not the one at 5412 Coldwater Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Store # 982.

I will also post this experience on Google reviews for the general public to view and hopefully, not have to experience the above as I did.
