I order takeout from this Jimmy John’s often, and in the past 3 years they have never disappointed me! Orders for pick up are always quick, and the quality of food is always fantastic! (in the scope of a national sandwich chain). After a particularly busy weekday, I decided to have an easy dinner. I ordered my usual, The Italian Night Club and jalapeno chips. It hit the spot!

Dan born in 1962 from Blue Island loves this sub shop on Ridge Road near U S 41 Indianapolis Boulevard in Highland. Indiana.I been coming here almost 15 years possibly longer since it opened sometime in 2006. Never been in a Jimmy Johns ever always went to Subway and decided to try different sandwiches. Started to like the food and the music Jimmy John plays too and such fun friendly staff here. Liked Jimmy Johns so much I even stopped visiting Subway or I go less or hardly at all it’s been great every day or every other day here at Highland sub shop and liked the healthier fresher toppings and suaces along with vinegar and oil. I became friends here with the staff and always to this day look forward to coming in here to eat even if it’s usually a mini sub. I liked how I felt with their heathier toppings along with freshness in breads and or lettuce wrap I had that extra energy to enjoy my daily walks along railroad tracks I went to in northwest Indiana and places near Blue. Island and going downtown Chicago too for my walks.
Since I mostly stay in the Highland Indiana area a lot, I still was visiting Blue Island and downtown Chicago alot, came here always to take Metra train into downtown Chicago weekly to twice a week my last 40 years too, I still liked Highland so much, I decided to stay mostly here in the region and love the region here of Northwest Indiana. Whenever I visited Blue Island and know I should visit my favorite Chicago area restaurants and places I grew up with I still craved Jimmy Johns and visited the Blue Island Jimmy Johns store even tho Blue Island was very slow I rarely or ever see a customer eating inside the Blue Island store. I usually was always the only sit down customer here at Blue Island alone at Blue Island Jimmy Johns, then realized later here it was mostly a drive thru pickup window and always a delivery store setup. I still love this acquired taste of sub sandwich varieties. Then 2018 came Blue Island closed up a major hospital here in town since 1967 and the hospital supported Jimmy Johns it was rated healthiest foods to eat I was told and immediately Jimmy Johns closed the Blue Island store as they knew business would drop off like a rock in Blue Island as our town is mostly a Mexican town and already has a lot other food establishments. Still residents that were starting to order Jimmy Johns and liking Jimmy Johns for lunch told me they miss it but established more with other food specialties and establishments. I just ordered from here. Asked for my sandwich toasted like I get every single time I order. I never order a different sandwich. I was told the manager said I can’t have my sandwich toasted because it doesn’t fall under one of the numbers. Absolutely ridiculous. So you’re telling me that I can’t have a toasted sandwich because the manager said it doesn’t fall under one of the required toasted sandwiches lol. Terrible guest service.

Not really the premium product it used to be. Ordered 3 sandwiches at about 3:30pm and picked up. Wrapped sandwiches used to be marked, so you didn’t have to open them all to find yours. Apparently no longer. Chicken Bac Ranch had one strip of bacon in an 8″ sandwich, and hardly any chicken. Gargan and the veg were okay… but just okay. Really not much different than a Subway.

I received my order from your establishment and it was disappointing. The #12 Beach Club sandwich had been poorly prepared with mostly lettuce and only a single slice of turkey. Additionally, you toasted the entire sandwich including the lettuce and tomato which is evident by their burnt and wilted edges. While Jimmy John’s is a favorite of ours, the poor quality of this order will keep us from coming back to this location. This is the second time we have ordered and received less than satisfactory results.

I normally order from here weekly since my work is so close & it’s so convenient, however the last 3 orders have been a waste of money. I’ve had to call each time to get my order re-made. This is how my “sandwich” came AGAIN today. A particle of what looks like a pre-chewed piece of ham and half rotten lettuce. This one has gone down hill dramatically in quality. Guess it’s time for me to find a new regular lunch spot unfortunately.

I do mobile orders at this location all the time, very often for large orders (6 sandwiches, plus chips). They always get my order right, with all the customizations, and it’s always ready when I arrive to pick up. I occasionally get delivery with no issues. Great and friendly service!

I ordered online. and I tried to customize the roast beef sub. I’m always worried that these aren’t gonna go right. I was very happy to see that they did it perfectly. I asked for extra horseradish and hot peppers. They delivered good job. Happy to see when companies pay attention to the little details of their online orders.
