I visited this Jimmy John’s location around 8:30 PM, well before closing at 9 PM. My boyfriend went inside to order, but the staff told him they “ran out of bread” and refused to serve him. They were also extremely rude in how they handled the situation.

When I called the store to ask for the franchise or corporate number, the manager on duty was immediately aggressive, dismissive, and hostile toward me on the phone. I decided to come to the store in person to request the number, but by the time I arrived, the doors were already locked early.

While my boyfriend and I sat in the parking lot with our 5-year-old child, trying to locate another Jimmy John’s that had bread, the manager called the police on us, falsely claiming we made threats. We were doing nothing wrong — just sitting in our car, looking up another location. It was clear to us that this was racially motivated and discriminatory behavior.

This experience was humiliating, frightening, and completely unacceptable. No family should be treated this way, especially over something as simple as trying to get a sandwich before closing time. I truly hope corporate investigates this incident and holds the manager and staff accountable.

I ordered two sandwiches from this location for dinner, but the experience was disappointing. My veggie sandwich was missing some requested add-ons and, to my surprise, contained a sizable piece of meat wrapped in the cheese. My wife’s Turkey Tom had noticeably less turkey than what we’ve received at other local Jimmy John’s locations.

When I called to address the issue, the store clerk was dismissive, stating that a refund would be issued without even collecting my details.

Given the reviews, it might be wise for Jimmy John’s corporate to audit this location to ensure it meets quality expectations and upholds brand standards. Feedback was left on Jimmy johns website.

7/6 update – no one from corporate or the store responded to the issue. Clearly a store to avoid – find another jimmy John’s or pick from several other options in the area

As far as cold subs go it isn’t the worst but the bread is rather chewy and they are a bit stingy with the toppings like lettuce and onion which makes the sandwich feel underwhelming. They also changed from dijon to yellow mustard so it makes everything taste cheaper. Overall the sandwich left me wondering why I paid almost 10 dollars for something that didnt even fill me up, so while I used to enjoy Jimmy John’s I probably won’t find myself back to this one.

I have been trying to call the Independence store yesterday we got three sandwiches got a club Lulu and it’s supposed to be everything but no onion and no mayo. All we got is one piece of turkey and two pieces of bacon on this sandwich toasted you gotta be kidding me then we ordered the chicken bacon ranch. I added stuff on there. It was soggy.from an extreme amount of ranch
There was so much liquid on there and barely any vegetables that I requested I am very, very disappointed. I paid $41 for nothing. The chicken bacon ranch come out was $21. We got the big one. My husband said when he went to pick it up, there was only one girl working unacceptable. If they can’t have our order done correctly I will not go back there at all.
I got the beach club and that was the only one done correctly except I didn’t get extra cucumbers and lettuce
That was a big waste of money and I can’t contact anybody on the phone. I’ve been trying all night all day.

I should have read the reviews before trying out this place for the first time again in years. The guy who took my order was so rude to begin with I think he was having a bad day or something. While waiting for my order they dropped the customer before me food on the ground. Didn’t even offer to help pick it all up like 4-5 sandwiches. Then I got mine no bag.. so I asked for one and they just said yep right there (behind the counter) just sounds like these guys hate their jobs. I mean they do have a choice to stay or quit. Why be rude to the people who keep them in business? I think this generation of kids working just feel like they are too good to be nice to their customers.

I read through the reviews and the previous photos are hard to dispute. Clearly there was something wrong then but seems like some issues have been fixed.

I walked in at peak lunch time 12:31 with 5 people in front of me. The team had it together with a great flow. They were respectful and super quick. I had my sandwich made absolutely correct and in hand by 12:37. This is including the people in front of me and clearly it was a new hire working the register.

This team deserves a second chance and every bit of the tip I left. I was having a rough day and honestly they turned it around with great service fast and accurate.

Let me start by saying I frequent this location with a great colleague of mine on Fridays. It’s our special time of the week something to look forward to. I’ve had no problems in the past with this location, but I ordered a potato salad and clearly somebody was eating from it prior to receiving it. I say to the manager, can you take a look at this as it doesn’t look right he continues to give me an attitude, roll his eyes and throw the old product in the garbage can and gives me another one, very poor experience due to the negligence of this man, tall, black haired manager, I will no longer return to this location and I hope corporate sees this to have a conversation with him.

Freaky fast yes! Maybe slow down a bit for accuracy. I’ve been a regular at this location, and while the speed is great, the accuracy is consistently lacking. Every time I customize my order, something is wrong—whether it’s missing ingredients or items being prepared incorrectly. It’s frustrating, especially since I’m specific with my requests. I really wish they’d take a little extra time to double-check orders before sending them out. A little more attention to detail would go a long way!

As a dasher Jimmy John’s on Rockside attempted to have me as a dasher fill up the beverage of the customer. Door dash policy is the restaurant is to fill up the customers drink or beverages due to for health , safety , and liability issues. Which totally makes sense as we our handling other packages , opening doors , etc etc and could cross contaminate the customers beverages. Rude.
