Jimmy John’s on Ridgewood will never receive another dollar from me. I’ve given this location a few chances and this is really the straw that broke the camels back for me.
1. Last time I went, the employee was CLEARLY on some type of drug, definitely a downer of some type. She took forever to answer at the call box, made me repeat my order about 5 times, had to have another employee come on the speaker to confirm what I wanted, AND STILL GOT MY ORDER WRONG. I pulled to the side to check my order because I feared it was messed up, and when it was I went back through the drive through to have them fix it, she said “well I’m the manger so I didn’t make it.” No apologies, just defensive and slurring her words when she spoke. The man who was working did apologize and remade my sandwich correctly. He was very nice. Maybe he should be the manager instead. This interaction was about 3 weeks ago.

2. Now, for today’s order. I had a free original sandwich for my birthday reward. I ordered delivery of the pepe with light peppers, no tomato, add bacon. When I received my sandwich the delivery driver was very kind and I was ready to dig in. I realize before even unwrapping it that my sandwich is very thin/light but I normally don’t get an original sandwich, my typical order is a club lulu so I chalked it up to it not being a specialty sandwich. Then, I unwrap my sandwich to discover the absolute saddest excuse for a sub that I have ever witnessed. It had 2 slices of meat, 2 slices of cheese, 2 measley peppers on each side, all topped with A FREAKING MOUNTAIN OF LETTUCE??? I didn’t ask for extra lettuce. It was genuinely enough to make 2 more sandwiches. Once I removed the excess and put it back together, it was mostly bread at that point. The picture shown is only what I took off of one side. This is ridiculous. Yes, the sandwich was free, but I still paid the delivery fee and tipped the driver more than 20% for an even $10 order. $10 for this absolute disgrace of a sub.

3. I tried to place this review directly with the company through their website, but every time I try to upload the picture for proof, it deletes all my previously entered info. Clearly they want to make it as difficult as possible to send feedback so now it’s coming to Google for the entire community to see. I always try to address negative reviews with the company directly and save my Google reviews for positivity but this was really just the last straw.

DO BETTER. as someone who works in the food industry as well, I NEVER serve food that I wouldn’t eat myself. I hope this review reaches the right people and changes are made at this location.

I had the best experience at this restaurant talk about CLEAN! I could have ate off the floor and the restrooms were amazing no trash Nothing well kept up! But the staff omg beautiful and so nice when I walker in, everyone was well groomed both, ladies and gentlemen their hair was done and wearing their hats and gloves no stains on their uniforms unlike when I drove up to the window at dairy queen the associate looked like she fell out of bed and was late and just grabbed any dirty uniform shirt to put on!!! So not cool I almost puked didn’t even do her hair! But this Jimmy johns I can eat at every day my sub was amazing the bread was so fresh I had to pull over and eat. Kudos, Jimmy johns you have a wonderful and very professional staff!!!! If I could give them more stars I would, matter of fact…..

Ordered 3 full large sandwiches and they gave me no bag, just threw my sandwiches in the counter. Horrible customer service. And when I did ask for a bag they gave me a small bag instead of a large one. I put the sandwiches In the small bag and it instantly ripped. Horrible customer service. Went to this location about two years prior and they would not serve me because they said they could not break my $100 bill. Horrible customer service.

I made a special trip up from New Smyrna to get two Vito’s with no dressing as it would be a few hours before I got home and did not want them to be soggy. When we opened them they both had mayo, one had no tomato,and both had almost no lettuce and onion. Vito’s don’t come with mayo, that’s why we get them. What a waste of $20, plus time and gas

Very disappointed. Ordered a roast beef and Cheddar toasted. Ask them to hold the horseradish and tomatoes. Get home, there are 4 tomatoes, left too long in the oven and no cheddar cheese. I was the 1st one in there only 1 after me. Order taken was Brittany. Sub roll was hard.

I’m only one at drive through 12:30 pm still sitting at window waiting for one sandwich took 20 minutes! I should have asked for money back after waiting 19 minutes but no one would come to window.! At lease 3 people working or acting like they’re working this is lunchtime people want fast food food they go to fast food forget about the term freaky fast very poor service.

Manager who worked at 9/10/25 at 6:30pm refused to give me my money back after I called and stated I’m missing a sandwhich, another sandwhich had no meat, got a wrong sandwhich and all were so soggy it was uneditable. I was told by the manager that she was refusing my service because I was yelling at her and she wasn’t going to issue a refund either until I “talked nicer and apologize”. I had to drive across town to another Jimmy John’s to purchase my food and had to contact my bank to make a claim. Supposedly, this is the lady’s second day working as a manager. I want somebody to reach out to me. This is absolutely inexcusable customer service.

Made it into Daytona late and wanted to get a quick meal before bedtime and hopefully a great week of vacation! Although we ordered online close to closing…when I arrived the JJ team were super friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure my order was exactly as I wanted! The two ladies working 7/12/25 at closing were awesome! You don’t get service like that much these days!
