Stopped by Jimmy Joe’s last week for the first time while working in the area and looking for something nearby. The restaurant has a nice layout with plenty of seating options, including cozy booths and a good-sized patio that would be great when the weather cooperates. As soon as we sat down, they brought out warm cornbread with garlic butter, which was absolutely delicious. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer, and that was very good as well. For entrées, we ordered the chicken pasta and the redfish with a crab cake. The pasta was just okay, I wasn’t a fan of the red cream sauce, and the dish felt like it was missing a few elements. I think it would have been much better with a creamy wine sauce and additions like sautéed onions, bacon, and mushrooms. The redfish was cooked well and served with dirty rice and grilled vegetables, but it also lacked flavor. After a few bites, my husband asked me to “fix it up,” which meant bringing it home and seasoning it properly. The next day, I added Cajun seasoning, garlic butter, and made a lemon herb dipping sauce. I tossed the dirty rice (it tasted like Rice-A-Roni) and made fresh rice instead. My husband didn’t even realize it was the same fish, he said it was amazing.
The true standout of the entire experience was the service. Our waitress was fantastic, and multiple staff members checked on us throughout the meal. The level of attentiveness really impressed us. Because the service was so good, we do plan to return when we’re in the area. While the food wasn’t very flavorful, it was prepared well, and it’s clear the staff genuinely cares about your experience…and that makes a big difference.

When I tell you Ivy, Petra(manager) and Jasmine served us so well! I mean that! The food deserves to be reviewed (Michelin star worthy). I didn’t expect much but when Ivy brought us those sweet cornbread muffins with garlic butter I just knew I was in for a treat. We ordered everything fried. Catfish, shrimp, calamari, oysters, fries, jalapeños. The starter plate was shrimp, calamari and jalapeños with a beautiful dipping sauce to complement it. We even ordered a custom plate that had a mix of blackened catfish and shrimp with fried oysters. They even had $2.99 margaritas! I just don’t understand how they were able to pull off the quick service with great food! I am a critic of food because my husband is a top chef in the world and I must always seek to have a pallet that is ready for an experience. The establishment was clean. Restrooms, cleaned. Today was an experience to remember, thank you to the chef and team for making me happy. It’s hard enough out here with all of the changes in the world that we are having to adapt to. This place is a gem that needs to be protected. Please give it a try. The photo is a random drink I saw someone else order and they made it for me when I asked for it! Friendliest service I have received in Lake Jackson TX since 2020! Keep up the good work Jimmy Joe’s and crew!

Visited with a friend on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was a little loud, since it was busy.
I had fried shrimp and oysters. My shrimp were over-cooked, so they were rubbery. My oysters were nice sized and good.
My order came with a generous serving of coated fries which were nicely prepared. The coleslaw was good. The tator tots were left off my order.
We did have a couple of drinks, and they were good.

I love, love, love this place! We are new to the area and wanted to give this place a try! They have delicious cornbread muffins and garlic butter that they bring out and it is so good! I had the pablano soup and it was delicious! Our waitress, Marie was awesome! She even brought us samples of the soup to try! I have never had someone bring us samples of soup! The restaurant is clean and has a laid back atmosphere! We have Tia Juanitas back home, but I love this place even more!

Utterly disappointing. We ordered the $50 boil pot because we love sharing a tasty boil. The snow crab was not on point. Old and extremely hard to snap/crack. This restaurant doesn’t even provide mallets or seafood crackers to crack the crab. We made the mistake of ordering the atomic sauce. We were not informed that they would be pouring the sauce on top of the boil rather than placing it on the side. The sauce was poured all over the boil and I am assuming it came out of a refrigerator or room temperature because the entire boil was cold. Three of the four potatoes were not even fully coked.

We went for lunch today and had the smoked brisket tacos and smoked brisket quesadillas, they were both delicious! We also had the oysters on the half shell and they were perfect. My boyfriend ordered a beerarita and you definitely get your moneys worth. Marie was our server and she gave us great service! Highly recommend this place.

I am so impressed with this restaurant. The service is excellent! Our server was top notch on keeping up with us, keeping our drinks filled, and explaining and recommending items from the menu. The drinks were delicious and not overwhelming with the alcohol taste you get from so many other places. I highly recommend their lemonade. The food was exceptional! The black and blue tuna and the fried pickles were the perfect starter. Oh! And they deliver hot, fresh cornbread to your table complimetery, which is very good. Everyone’s entree’s were great as well. This is in my top 3 for brazoria county.

First time customer and will try to return as the wait staff were very kind and helpful. Evenvthough they accidently threw our doggy bag away when we went to the bathroom they literally made fresh food to replace it and gave us the replacement free going above and beyond to do the right thing. Priced reasonably especially considering how well the food is plated and how good it factually tastes. I had the brisket Enchiladas and the fried pickles. Their garlic butter and cornbread was actually pretty damn good as well. Again I’m a fan.
