The food has been beyond disappointing the last 3x I have been here. Today I took my grandson. My food if you call it that, came out 15 min before his. I had two tacos that were lacking everything. He had fish bites that was literally deep fried batter. Don’t thing I’ll be going back it’s been a huge let down for all the locals I know that tried going for a while now. Sucks. I guess they only care about the drinks now. Their fate will likely be that of the Jax location.

I came for a fundraiser event and I must say this place ROCKS! Staff is super friendly, FOOD IS AWESOME, full bar and virtually NO WAIT TIME! I was shocked. As a GM with over 20+ years in hospitality I was VERY IMPRESSED! They handled a big crowd with all smiles and didn’t miss a beat!

I will DEFINITELY BE BACK!!! ❤️

I try not to submit negative reviews, but I am really disappointed in my Baja Bowl. It looks like I got less than 4 oz of beef and it was dry and over cooked. I really paid $13.00 for rice. It will be a long time before I get food from there.

I went to Jimmy Hulas in St. Augustine last night. I’ve been a few times and always had a great experience, however last night was different. The ladies working at the front, one in particular, could not be bothered. While each of us ordered our food, she seemed so put out. Snippy at times. While waiting and receiving our orders, we’d have to go ask for certain things (refills, straws, forks, etc.) and she was on Snapchat or something constantly. Then when our food came out, she never said a word to us, she just handed it to us and walked away. So many of us were missing items from our meal. I was missing my fries and told her when she brought out my order, she ignored me and walked away. She apparently did hear me because roughly 6 minutes later she walked out with my fries. Eventually, we got all our food, after several fixes. I ordered the Cali Burrito. I’ve gotten it before, it’s normally hearty and delicious. It was TINY this time. I thought I must’ve ordered the wrong thing. But I didn’t. Halfway through, I realized the fries weren’t inside it. So I basically just had a steak burrito (I took the shrimp out, I forgot to ask to have it removed) with nothing else. I paid over $20 for my food and it was without a doubt a total waste.

I still left a decent rating because every other experience has been great, so I write this review to hopefully be helpful feedback to what I consider to be a great restaurant (except for last night) and hope they will go back to how they used to be. I will definitely give second chances, but if it happens again, I won’t ever go back. It was a frustrating experience to say the least.

I won a Jimmy Hula’s gift card in a silent auction, and always love to support businesses that donate to local organizations! i had the best lunch, my tacos were hot and freshly made. I did customize one of my tacos, and the cashier was very helpful in accommodating my substitutions. My lunch was delivered quickly, and it was prepared perfectly. The staff (mostly high school kids) were attentive, offered drink refill, and asked how my tacos were! Thanks Jimmy Hulas for serving me a great lunch!

Our go to sit down Mexican place (Cantina Louie) was having software issues so they were a no go. But we were all feeling Mexican a local friend of mine pointed me toward Jimmy Hula’s. The first that sets it apart is it’s location. A sit-down Mexican restaurant that has a water view while you eat! But that was just the start the tacos and burritos were delicious. They do use the yellow cheese for their queso instead of the white cheese so be aware. That being said their guacamole was some of the best for a restaurant we had ever tasted. This is now added to our visit list when we come to the beach in St Augustine!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Recently relocated and was very happy to find a Jimmy’s in St. Augustine as the one in Tampa had closed. The food is phenomenal. The staff is friendly. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed with TV’s and a bar to enjoy. Very much looking forward to more jimichurie tacos and delicious burgers. Keep it up Jimmy’s!

Walk up and order style and they still ask for a 20% tip? What is up with this? No server, no service, if we want a refill we go up to get it, we needed more sauce we walked up to get it. 20% to bring the food to the table?

Great food, atmosphere and service. My husband loved the aloha burger and I loved the duke burger. The weather was great so we got to sit outside. Will definitely be going back.

I took my daughter’s here last weekend for reggae Sunday. The outside patio area was nice. Food was mediocre. My daughter ordered steak nachos only to get maybe 4 cubes of steak. We really wanted a slice of key lime pie after we ate, but it took the bartender over five minutes to notice me, and at that point, we just left. Kind of pricy for tacos, but that’s how everything is in today’s world. It was ok. Not sure I’d drive 45 minutes to go there again.
