I’ve been eating Tex-Mex since I was young, and all over the world to include Japan (yes they have it there. Haha)
Our beef fajitas were amazing, very thick, perfectly cooked and quite flavorful. I found them to be superior to Mamacita’s and Gringo’s. The black beans were a nice change, and they give you sour cream with your guacamole and salsa fresca. Which was a nice touch. Especially considering the two aforementioned restaurants don’t.
Jenna our server was really congenial, and we met Sam who I presume to be the General Manager. Because he mentioned traveling to their other locations. He was very gracious and even gave us a complimentary cake. It was delicious and we appreciate his kind gesture.
Thank you for the delicious meal!

UPDATE‼️I went back! Food is always good when I go. Service this time was even worse though, a district manager went around the area we were seated and skipped past every POC. Only asked certain folks how their dining experience was going.. left an unpleasant impression on my husband and I.
Our waitress, Zoe, barely provided any service. She would stop by and ask if we needed anything, but if I had food in my mouth and couldn’t respond immediately, she would rush off before giving me a chance to speak. She never checked to see if we were enjoying our meals, and the only thing she consistently did was bring our drinks and food. When my Fajita Bowl arrived without the corn tortillas, I waited about four minutes before finally having to ask Brian, the manager, for assistance. He was kind, but the situation still left us disappointed.
To make matters worse, it was my twins 18th birthday lunch — a special moment — and the poor service truly dampened the experience. Please avoid Zoe if you want your celebration to go smoothly. I would also like to add that Nick was an excellent GM. Anytime I had a concern, he was attentive and took great care of my family. Jimmy Changa’s food is delicious, but when I’m paying a premium, I expect consistent, quality service. Sadly, I’m not sure I’ll be returning.
We had seen the restaurant and it reminded us of Chuy’s in Austin and since Chuy’s has fallen off the map with it food, we were hoping for a great food experience…
We had a group of 9 so we called ahead and made accommodations.
Once we arrived we had about a 20 min wait. We were seated in the bar area which was nice.
We received chips and salsas to the table
We ordered different varieties of drinks. We enjoyed the flavors and volume of alcohol in the drinks.
After ordering food we enjoyed some conversations.
Food came out in 2 segments. 7 people got their food together and then 2 people received their food after about 8 mins which is long time for a group.
The food portions were definitely way smaller than expected. The $18 burrito was 1/6 the size of the plate especially with no feelings inside.
Overall, it’s a theme experience and the food expectations should be that of.. just a theme.
If you’re looking for more traditional stylizations of food, they’re definitely better options, but for a group of people looking to converse and just have some basic Tex-Mix then try Jimmy Changas.
