We Aw a sign in downtown Marion that stated “Eat Local,” so while we were in town we decided we would do just that! A friend recommended his place and told us “it doesn’t even have a sign.” I found that funny. Th food must be made THAT good! As a family, we were all able to find something to try off of the small menu We Reid cheese sticks (your standard fare), bloomin’ onion (not far off from Outback’s actually), and then we ordered Ribeye sandwich, hamburger steak, bbq sandwich, and teriyaki chicken. While all the food was good, I’m not sure I would stop by if you are super health conscious. Most of the “vegetables” were white. The chicken teriyaki was just that- chicken with a little onion – no veggies or colorful anything. The sides were French fries, baked potato, or sweet potato fries. The salad was standard iceberg lettuce, but that heirloom tomato slice on top was super yummy! It wasn’t bad, just not the healthiest option. The rest of the family enjoyed everything. Hubby said th hamburger steak had a great flavor. My daughter had the ribeye sandwich and after a little dip in some Heinz 57 she was pleased. I don’t have to guess how good the BBQ sandwich was because my son inhaled it. The food wasn’t fancy, but it was good. Some prices seem super reasonable, while a few seemed a bit much (the chicken was $16). Overall I would certainly make another stop here for an occasional comfort food meal. The atmosphere looked much like a bar- lower light levels, tv’s, string lights, but felt very family friendly. The service was stellar. If the server didn’t know an answer to a question she found out quickly and was super helpful.

I’m from Ohio and had been in the car with my two boys for 10 hours and went looking for a dine in place and this place came up so we managed to find the place and walked in to a dark and dingey looking place. I saw two different waitresses who looked me square in the face and turned around and walked away. We never got acknowledged so we left… very disappointed after seeing all the great reviews….they must have been paid for them.

Breakfast was delicious. Had the two eggs grits toast and sausage and the Philly omelette with hash browns. Was so good. Coffee was great too. Nice local country cooking. Prices were fantastic.

Good food and staff but they need to take time to dust their light fixtures you could see it caked on them. I had corn dodgers with scallops, sweet potato fries and a salad. My hubby had sweet potato fries with teriyaki steak cooked medium! We both had sweet tea and I fed my baby sweet potato fries and banana pudding she loved it!

Never opened and their prices are wrong. Then when you get the food it’s either wrong or some items are there. Phone just rings doesn’t tell when they are closed so if owner doesn’t care if they are open or closed wait until winter time sense he can afford to close when ever in the winter I can afford to take my business some where else. And prices on the menu are not right they are higher now with low quality of food.
