Reviews
I had a completely different and much better review of this place then, a kitchen manager posted and asked reddit if the wings I sent back were cooked and he had the nerve to come show me….
We ordered a 10 pack of Buffalo wings….they came out kinda fast but were screaming hot…I took a big drummette and my friend was munching on flats….mine was completely raw (see photo).
We talked to the server and he agreed the one was raw and he ordered us a new plate. Again, they came out pretty fast, but as we nervously started to eat these ones the rest of our food came out.
At some point someone came out from the kitchen in a red apron, and started out apologetic and polite, and claims they temp everything…I mentioned I had been a chef for 20 years and I know raw….I also understand just because the 1 or 2 that gets temped, might not be the problem. He said he’d take care of them and after I mentioned the next plate and everything else was good, he walked away.
A few minutes later he came back out and asked if the photo that he showed me on his phone was my plate and I said it looks like it could be, he proceeded to say these are all cooked…so I showed him the photo I took, of which he obviously didn’t photo that one. He agreed it was raw and apologized and walked away.
A few minutes later he came back and showed me his phone again which was a screen of writing, it asked some question about if these are cooked, showed the photo, and then the 1 reply said they were….at this point I realized he asked reddot….
At this point I blew up, yes I made a scene, but how inappropriate is it to keep coming back, arguing they were cooked, and to be so dumb as to ask reddit….an apology and take the wings off was all that was needed…
As we are yelling at each other I told him to leave the table. I got up, he kept arguing, I said just let me pay my bill and leave…he said I told you I took care of it. He had only ever mentioned he took care of them…I never assumed it was the entire bill.
Did I blow up, yes, was it provoked by some undertrained manager…ABSOLUTLEY.
I’ve tried finding the reddit thread, but can not.
At first I wasn’t even expecting anything to be comped, as I never expect that…as a customer though, I do just want to hear an apology and then to move on.
This manager/cook us provoking and very inappropriate.
I ordered a 14” thin cheese with extra sausage, cooked well done. I ate it all and enjoyed every last bit of it! For the price paid, I think it’s definitely worth giving this place a try if you’re in the area. Additionally, if you come on a Wednesday, you can get 50% off on any pizza you order.
I’ll definitely return here if I’m in the area again!
They will gladly accept your money for double toppings but only actually give them to you when it’s full price. Don’t waste your money ordering extra anything (including extra cheese) unless you’re paying full price.
One thing we have found in Colorado is the lack of consistency and I’m not able to figure out if it’s a lack of training or just not caring what you put out the door. Luckily a new Rosati’s is coming to Centennial soon and we’ll likely start ordering there as long as they do it right. Shame on you Jimano’s of Englewood…Chicago locations would be disappointed in you.
so if you’re looking to eat in, don’t expect ambience just expect some damn good pizza!
It’s a great place for Chicagoans to get a piece of home away from home. Has great Chicago examples of Italian food.
The food is great and the service is always great.
I will say the place does get a little hot during the summertime and I would definitely find a way to fix that. It REALLY needs to be fixed.
Overall, I do love the food and service but I love it a lot more in the Winter!
I’m really hoping the owners will see this post and remedy how hot it can get in here especially on hot days.
Other than that I would completely recommend this place to anyone.
The server they have is absolutely great and always is.
Try the Italian Beef Italian sausage sandwich it’s amazing!
The pizza is super good as well!
