This place was a great find. I’ve been searching high and low for a decent tavern style pizza, and Jimano’s checked the box. This was my first time in but it won’t be my last. Great pizza, friendly service and a clean, comfortable dining area. The dining area is small but I get the feeling most people get takeout.

I grew up in Chicago – north side on true Chicago pizza – thin crust, lots of cheese and meat and cut in squares. Jimano’s is the real deal. Best pizza I have had since I don’t know when. Been searching for a place like this for decades. Two minor differences from the north side pizza of my childhood- the crust was oh so slightly thinner and crispier and the sausage grease wasn’t dripping off each slice – both pluses in my mind. Folks in the service industry could take a lesson or two in friendly and helpful behind the counter customer service from the two gents working and baking. The atmosphere is walk up to counter and 4 small square tables for dining but we were the only ones eating in and had a grand old time eating way too much pizza.

As someone who used to own a pizzeria in Chicago, I can honestly say Jimano’s Pizzeria captures the real taste of home.
I was craving true Chicago tavern-style pizza along with a classic Italian beef piled high with giardiniera peppers — and Jimano’s Pizzeria nailed it. The Wisconsin cheese, authentic Chicago-style sauce, and edge-to-edge coverage instantly reminded me and my family of home. Even the breadsticks were perfectly buttery and delicious. On top of that, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Every bite just spoke Chicago. This is as close as you’ll get to the neighborhood spots back home.

I spent 15 years in northern Illinois and missed the taste and style Jimanos delivers on. It really is good pizza.
The only gripe I have is I live in Lochbuie so by the time I get home with my pizza, its cold. but thats ok.
Just build a new location in Brighton area!

We recently found Jimano’s so fairly new customers. Love their product until this last Weds when they have 50% off normal price. They skimped on their toppings and our pizzas were no where near as good on days when you pay full price. Why have the 50% off if you are going to skimp on toppings and lose customers? It seemed like we received 50% of our toppings.
It was 5 stars until last Weds. We bought 2 pizzas and both lacked toppings. Review below by another person lists same issue. I even questioned the owner.

Now this is some legit Chicago style pizza. Everything about the pizza reminds me of home and the local spot we used to order from. The crust is crispy, the sauce is even, and the toppings are plentiful. This spot has quickly become my go to for pizza. You can’t beat the Italian roast beef and giardiniera.

Decided to visit Jimano’s last week since my family and I are from Chicago and we really wanted to enjoy a *REAL* Pizza. Also, having spent a significant amount of my life in Lake County Illinois where Jimano’s (aka Jimmy’s Perfetto) Pizza originated you could say that I’m very familiar with their pizza.
I’m happy to say that they do a good Chicago thin crust pizza and probably some of the best breadsticks in the business! My negative comment is that my pizza was slightly overdone and should have spent a few minutes less in the oven, but otherwise the toppings were on point with the perfect Chicago fennel, Italian sausage and pepperoni as well as the right crust thickness and sauce.
Our service was extremely attentive and friendly and the restaurant was very clean and well kept. The 4 or 5 tables are small but adequate since it appear to cater more for carryout business.
This location also has great daily specials, so make sure you check the website before you order. This location is also offered some fun specialty dried pepper packets for the pizzas which we’re very flavorful.
