I called this evening to place a takeout order and asked if someone could bring the food out to my car. I had just picked up my dog from having surgery and couldn’t leave him alone in my car, so I was hoping for a quick handoff outside. I was planning to pay over the phone so that would have been already taken care of.
The woman who answered the phone told me that if they weren’t busy, they could do it. I asked if they were busy at that moment, and she said it was one of their busiest nights. I asked if that meant there was no guarantee someone could bring it out, and she said no.
Because of that, I chose to order elsewhere and went to Brother’s, where they have a drive through.
What struck me was that it felt like she was talking about being busy with other customers, but I was trying to be a customer too. I was ready to order and pay…I just needed a small bit of help.
It was disappointing, especially since it would likely have taken about 30 seconds, and I intended to tip $10 for the help. I understand being busy, but a little flexibility in situations like this would go a long way.
Imagine if it had been an elderly customer or someone with a disability who truly couldn’t come inside…small accommodations can make a big difference.

Friendly service. Fast service. Best pizza in this town. It’s not great. It’s not something I would pursue from outside of this town. Very greasy. Crispy dough. Fair ratios of cheese AND sauce.

Real good food especially the large pizza with extra cheese and hamburger. Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. We order at least once a week. Sometimes more.

Jim & Nena’s Pizzeria has excellent pizza, subs, and salads. Their sides are fantastic. If you’re near the Spring Grove area. Definitely check them out. There are other locations, but we haven’t had the chance to check them out. The staff at Spring Grove are wonderful.

Great thin crust pizza, subs, and gigantic strombolis. Always quick service, even during lunch rush. Very clean restaurant. Plenty of parking.

We are from WV and were passing through town. We were hungry and stopped at Jim & Nena’s for some subs. Very nice guys working there. Very reasonable prices and the subs were excellent. The crispy sub roll and different, but it made the sub even better. We were all impressed and wish we could order from here more often. When we are in the area we will definitely stop back for more subs. Thanks.

We called shortly before closing and the staff was not only friendly and willing to help us but the food was perfect! Much better than the “other” pizzerias in Spring Grove!

Average pizza. This location is one of a number of them in the York Adams county area. It’s a nice spot with a good atmosphere. Very nice staff and clean restaurant. The fries were cooked really well and came to the table super hot and salted nicely. Love that. It would be my go to spot if I was in the area.
